urghh why the heck did overclockers list the 5850's as in stock knowing fine well they were not, should have just got the 5870 now!!!
 
Dude ring up sales and tell em you want to change to "saffire" I called to cancel my asus order by 1 (as ordered 2 for xfire) and they said they have no idea when asus is in but if I change to saffire will have it by tuesday latest next week 500 coming today!!! And they have said no spec difference in any of the makes yet!!!!
 
Just benched my sapphire 5870 does 900 gpu 1300 memory max in card controls.
Hit 17700 in 3d mark vantage. not bad for 1 card ;) will get pics up soon.
and will be testing 3 screens using a £10 dp-dvi dongle. see if this works.

Just a quick one to anyone who's got one of these and has Empire Total War. With my GTX 275, I get some slowdown and stuttering on the world map, even when fraps is telling me I'm getting a decent frame rate. No idea what the cause is (still get it after multiple driver updates), but could someone confirm whether or not this occurs with the 5870?
 
Doesn't happen on my 4870's so I doubt it'll happen on the 5870's either.

In fact it doesn't happen on my spare machine with an AGP x1950pro either.
 
I can't believe the first person to have this card is teasing us with bench figures and NO PICS!!!!!!

Kind of ruins the fact you are the first Dazboots!!!! It means nothing without pics - proof is in the pics!!!!!
