** Official omg I just got my 5870 thread **

crossfire review for Virus boy (and others) ;)

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ATI/Radeon_HD_5870_CrossFire/

sorry if posted already

getting to the conclusion i think they're fanboys of Nvidia

Not meant for resolutions lower than 1080p = You wouldn't crossfire @ 1024x768 would you! would you?
Requires a CrossFire supportive motherboard with two PCI-Express slots = Obviously
At its high price, it loses competiveness = Fair Point. could SLI 2x 295's and spend another £80 instead
In a pair, HD 5870 heats up the case pretty bad = Add another fan
DirectX 11 won't be relevant for quite a while
No support for CUDA / PhysX

Aye wrote by W1zards sleeve, he's probably on the Jen-Hsung payroll.

Yeah a bigger hit to my frames aswell no thanks i beleave i have the optimum res for my gameing needs :)

About 20% by the look of it. Well, 8% if you factor in the improvement in scaling for the higher res.

There's a good chance my maths is completely wrong though! :p

Blah, 10.38 and still no pics or decent meaty home review. We have to beat America people - they are FIVE HOURS BEHIND!!!!

People who are recieving them are not at home or not posting. This is driving me insane.

Time for another coffee.

Why, the reviews I've read show that SLI GTX285's pretty much match Xfire 5870's for £200 or so less?

So far all I see here is people saying they have their cards, but no pics, no benchies, a WoW troll and the like. Pointless really in making such a thread, that we have to wait 4 maybe 5 pages before we see anything realistic...

At this rate, I might just go to Virus2K's house and know for a fact I'll get more than I bargained for :p lol :D

I was expecting pics of people unwrapping around 9-10 AM. But yeah so far just 1 dude talking about WoW of all games
