oh what the smeg.... apparently it was delivered at 13:16... it says signed for and gives a name but no address.. that is complete BULL ive been sat at my laptop - in the entrance hallway to the house with a clear view of the drive way since 8 AM this morning and no one has been up it..
Ouch! I once had a Comet delivery van try to offload a rather large Plasma TV on me. He had accidentally entered the incorrect postcode into his satnav, and I would have just signed for it (not checking who it was for) had it not been so damned big.
can couriers now with consignment number and ask them what is happening.
You will find that often couriers will say it is delivered so they get paid by the company they are doing the delivery for. Common trick otherwise for example ocuk wont pay them for failed delivery. (Used to work in the haulage industry).
If depot is close go there, if not ring them, but they might lie. Just ask them if they have it.

Leaving it with the next door neighbors would have been understandable - but they didn't even come up the drive - which is only 100 metres off the road and leads to 10 houses, they left it at the first house on the main road. Wouldn't mind if they had actually attempted to deliver it to this house...
It's here anyways - crisis over. Ill post pics soon, won't be doing benchies but Ill get some packaging and case shots, any requests before I close it away - I aint taking the cooler off
my 5850 came 10 mins ago, but its no good because the crappy q9550 i ordered on thursday from somewhere else (p**s bay!) never came !!!!
i can just look at the box and thats it, back to the 6mhz laptop

my 5850 came 10 mins ago, but its no good because the crappy q9550 i ordered on thursday from somewhere else (p**s bay!) never came !!!!

That's bad news, I get mine tommorow, although I have to go to work for 4 hours during the day, would have preferred it coming today, Oh well
yes DiRT 2 comes with sapphire...Someone confirm if they got DiRT 2 with sapphire?

.. oh and check out what I found in my radiator while I was rearranging my case in preparation . .
Im loving the IQ coming from an 8800GT - everything max so far at 1920x1200 with AA in spades. Going to try crysis later. First game I booted was L4D and notched everything up to full - PC crashed 2-3 mins in, restarted and tried to replicate but couldn't it's running fine now. Haven't done any overclocking

Hmm, I'm trying to use the Avivo video converter within the drivers provided on the 5850 CD. After taking a fair while to find it, duh basic mode - I now cant seem to get it to accept any video I try and give it as a source. Any video I give it give me the message "The selected source file contains either an unsupported video/audio format or no video/audio content. Please try another source file" Did I miss something or does this only like a very specific input format? badaboom took anything and churned it out for my zune, I know that the avivo VC has a lot more output options but it sucks if I am limited by input.. so far tried AVI and MKV formats
