After you've done that, restart steam and click play PS2 on steam. You should notice the top right of the launchpad should now say Proseiben. Put in your EU username and password and away you go :)

It worked.

I was reading a thread about this problem of steam using SOE Launchpad and not Prosieben Launchpad. The devs say they are working on it as currently steam doesn't provide Prosieben Launchpad by default if you are EU or UK resident.

Glad it worked for you :) I was searching all day at work to find out how to fix it! Which server and faction will you be playing as/on?

I just managed to get into the title screen but haven't decided yet about faction or server as they are all full atm. Is it possible to play with different factions in each server?

Yea you can but you can't swap cert points and purchases between factions. Join miller for the long term, that's where a lot of organised action will happen (apparently). I've gone TR :)
 
I think the queue is not working properly and is letting too many people in at the wrong times, hence the lag.

Your position in the queue can vary wildly, as can the amount of time it takes for you to get in.

Even as a subscriber it sometimes doesn't work as indented.

Think that's the root cause of most problems at the moment - long wait times, lag, rubber banding/warping and crashes.

Honestly didn't expect a refund. Normally in game purchases are hard to refund in my previous experience.
