Nah 15m wait will be for the instant action thing or there will be a cooldown timer on your sqaud spawn beacon. You can always spawn on other locations instantly, they are green dots on the deployment map or you can spawn at the warpgate.
To see the best fights, open up the map and on the right hand side there will be map options with check boxes, select 'enemy activity' and it will show you where the fights are with big fights being Red indicating that there are enemy platoons there, more often than not there will be a sunderer in the deployment window that will allow you to spawn on the sunderer.
Also, join an outfit! Highly recommended if you want to get the most out of this game .

Yeh that is just Instant action. I use instant action to hot drop onto an enemy base as infiltrator, then try and hack a vehicle terminal and then spawn an AMS Sunderer inside their base, allowing loads of friendly troops to get directly inside or hack as many vehicle terminals as you can so they can't spawn air or ground vehicles until one of their infiltrators hacks it back.

Unbelievable fight just to capture a bio lab against the VS just now. Totally outnumbered, can't believe we held onto the satellites but somehow we did, and then max/medic/eng rushed to take out the CSU etc. We thought we'd blown it initially and were gonna pull out.. but somehow kept it going, and eventually took it. Awesome.

This is one of our favourites. Hard to do it well.. but epic normally.
I was in the VS attacking the Crown earlier! Our attacked failed miserably, it was like half of our troops went to another continent to fight or something!.
Had a great time playing on mumble with about 5 of our guys, but considering the size of our outfit and the amount that meet up on mumble, it is quite dissapointing. The guys that do go on there are brilliant though, we laid the smackdown with liberators this evening.

I want to carry on playing this game but it just looks terrible at medium/low which is all I can run it at to get above 24fps. (Not really sure how to upgrade to make it playable either as I'm rocking a 4 year old MacPro..)
Another thing which is annoying is how slow I'm getting cp, I get like 30 ish after a solid evening.. Makes all the extra weapon / class upgrades seem un-achievable.

Some tips for performance if CPU is your bottleneck:
- Disable shadows in your UserOptions.ini file
- Set the effects quality and terrain quality to 1
- Try unparking your CPU cores
Well if youre getting 30cp an evening, youre in trouble. Especially as this weekend is double xp. Simply speaking the faster route to xp is killing stuff. Find a defense thats going on at a biodome or a techplant and join in. An average player like me makes 100 to 150 after a solid evening and you figure out engi or medic even more. Once you figure out killing buy a boost to give you another load of xp.
After this weekend everyone is going to be maxed in their favourite class and pretty advanced on others, so youll find small base defences difficult. Find the zerg and stick with it for a bit.
I was in that attack as well, attacking up hill is a nighmare but the lack of a real push made it easy for the defence to just pick us off, me and a mate made it round to the back by "B" but no support made it a failed rush, a bit later on we where attacking the crown again about 4ish, the ammo bug kicked in so it turned into a total nightmare and to make it worse it turned into a mini 3 way.
Im also playing using a 4 year old Mac Pro (Early2008 Dual 2.8 Quad-Core) Ive stuck a 6870 gfx card in mine and PS2 plays pretty well, not sure what the fps is exactly, but, definately very playable. Im currently thinking about upgrading to a GTX580 3gb card soon but thats mainly for PCars.
Thanks for the advice guys, just watched a heap of youtube videos and think I've got an idea of where I was going wrong, ie running around standing in the open like a tool.
Same, early '08 but only single Quad. I've got a HD5770 in there at the moment which I'm thinking of upgrading but not sure if the CPU is just going to bottle neck any upgrades I make. Also have you found a way of overclocking the CPU in Windows? I've only ever been about to find Mac OS solutions which are useless as I only run windows.
