What a great session tonight, played for 4 hours straight with my VS outfit. We took Amerish after fighting with the TR for hours, they were putting up a decent fight but as soon as we pulled 8 AA maxes and 2 skyguards completely denying them air space to spam their rocket mossies the TR population slowly started to go down as they moved over to Indar. It's as though spamming rockets is all they know how to do.
Once we capped Amerish, we moved straight over to Indar where the TR that were originally on Amerish were close to capping the continent, but we began pushing them back denying them Indar.
Looks like the rocket spamming baboons will be pulling the night shift lol.

Rocket spam... Exactly the same tactic vs use on towers. In fact tonight it was them taking turns on the spamming whilst another two queued up behind on each door LOL. Surprised the tr didn't pull out the snipers against the max's.
You guys make it out like the side you play on doesn't do the same, it was the same in PS and the same now, "The enemy team is this, that and the other".
Fact is if there's any cheap and easy way to benefit quickly, people will use it.

Guess you didn't stay long enough to finsh the fight, I suspect you was playing around the same time I was (Just stopped now) and we was close to capping Indar but got pushed back, we managed to push push out again and cap everything few hours later.
Indeed, everyone does the same, bombard the towers doors, don't see it as cheap or easy, it's just that... there are enemy there and they going to get bombed by whatever can hit it.
Personally me and my outfit like to bombard the towers with our prowlers, get tons of kills. lol
I should've been more specific in that it was about rockets for air, considering it's current state is like a swiss army knife in usefulness. People will go on and on about "just use anti air" but anyone could run and gun/use range or find another area. Let's face it if you come against a platoon of people switching to AA you're as ****** as a platoon of air.
Question, do you have to pay to have ANY anti-air? I'd rather spend it loads of other stuff first, probably the reason why I rarely see any other anti air that I actually know about.

Played this game solo, and with 2 friends, stunning looking game, and quite nice to play, just too large.
I really need an outfit or a squad full of people on Vent/TS, i believe that is where the fun is at. I havent managed to cap a base or defend a point during my 4 hours of gameplay, purely cause i dont have a squad/outfit behind me.
You rarely accomplish anything on your own or in a small group. Apart from level up, which i can do in 20 other games.

You can if you know to head for the flashpoints on the map & pick the right class, the problem at the moment is that if you join a random squad 9 times out of 10 nobody is actually leading the squad or even communicating, I joined one the other night & I swear everyone was spread out across the 3 continents in groups of 2 or 3 & nobody was even trying to coordinate at all!
It would also help if when starting a squad people put the continent they are on in the tittle, you can still call your squad a cool sounding name just give people a clue where you are playing.
PS if you are going to be a squad leader please spend some certs on the spawn beacon it's a big help!

Nothing is ever too large in planetside. They have continents planned AND eventually those 4 continents will be linked by ocean that you can fly or sail across - so it will be one big 144 sq mile map with no loading screens between conts.

It's ok running the back lines resecuring outposts but if you meet a squad or platoon you're limited to what you can do. There's nothing better than doing the above (I run spec ops and resecures) and meeting a platoon cappping a base that you can't deal with on your own. Quick call to the outfit and three mins later two full gals full of your outfit members drops in and obliterates the enemy - whilst your stood ont he hill overlooking the base watching it. Spectacular!
Supposedly today, but the devs have gone very quiet since the weekend. Higby has gone for a few weeks so I guess it's just a case of waiting for smed to start tweeting.
Most of us logged off after grabbing Ayani Labs due to big memory leaks and lagging. Felt good to have to keep you guys up longer than expected, while we slept
It was hilarious though on Amerish seeing all the mossies trying desperately to break out of the warp gate only to get pummeled by 7 AA maxes. Waaaaaahh no rocket spam for you.

I read someone on here posting that there will be a large patch that improves FPS this week.
Is that true or is it going to be released in January, as I read somewhere else?

Had a great game on woodman tonight VS took Amerish, great stuff, me and mate flying air support, this is becoming my fav game of all time.
Also anyone had certs go missing? i warped from Amerish and lost 43 certs

Have had the opposite, where I have had 500 odd certs and spent them all, only for them not to be removed from my stats. They were gone though, a re-log fixed it.
It seems that 99% of the people who don't actually enjoy the game don't take the time to learn what to actually do or the best way to do it, which is kind of funny as they're just wasting their own time.
If you want to make the most out of the game, find out some info first before playing it, like following tutorials on youtube etc.

It's a bug, you still have them, just earn some and they'll appear again!
