Today more freaking rendering problems when I was in a Lightning, I was getting lock-on's from Infantry that I couldn't see, I know where they was coming from, but the enemy and nor the god damn rockets wasn't showing up.
Getting fed up driving or flying around and not seeing anything then a second later, a whole god army of crap shows up.

This is all down to the Annihilator and the AA "fixes".
The lockon range for the Annihilator (for both air and ground) is 500.
This is further than the lockon for the seperate AA and Ground lockon launchers.
The render distance for infantry when your in a ground based vehicle is around 300, it varies but crucialy never goes as high as 500.
So the infantry with the lockon launcher can see your tank, spot you, lock on to it and fire. You in your tank cannot see or spot the HA trooper (it doesnt render).
The icing on the cake is the rocket projectile itself. Due to the fact you cant see the rocket when its launched (its too far away to render) it doesnt render at all for you.
So basicaly you take damage from a rocket you cant see aproaching, fired by a HA that didnt render for you.
The kick in the teeth comes when your sat at the 350-400 range and the HA locks on to you (you still cant see him remember). Even if you pop smoke and start retreating, you just turned your ass to a HA that can continue to lock onto you for another 100.
I'm on Woodman as well - it's a great server (one of the two original EU ones) with near perfect balance between the factions.
It does, but it doesn't seem to have the population to sustain a decent fight over more than one continent at a time. It's always, always bloody Indar
Just started to get into this game now after an hour or so of figuring out for myself what I actually have to do lol! Really enjoying it so far, but just have one question... is it my pc or are the textures in this game messed up? What I mean is that the guns for example look like they haven't been fully rendered and look blurry/unfocused if that makes sense? Also, things like the consoles and computers inside buildings look exactly the same. Is this an issue with the game or just more crappy AMD drivers?

I'm running it on Medium settings, I've also tried it on High and that made it a little better, but I still think it should look better than it does judging from the YouTube clips I've seen. I'll do a screenshot later, gotta do some work now (naughty IT man 
).
).I do wish some fights would happen away from Indar as well. Amerish is a favourite purely because it seems to be night so often, which makes for some brilliant looking battles. Going to log in now for a nice evening of killing TR & NC scum hopefully.

Managed to get it to look right last night. I found a post on the Steam forum which had some options to change in the useroptions.ini - however this had quite an impact on my fps, so just went back to my original useroptions.ini and kept it on Medium. I take it this game is quite CPU intensive and my i5 760 struggles to keep up with the graphics turned up. I need Haswell to hurry up and come out

No, my names DEL707 in game, though that doesn't mean I havn't run you over, my lightning is full of dents

I'm thinking about certing into a lot of light assault stuff. Not really tried the class so far but it looks fun. Any thoughts?
Light assault is squishy, but it can to tons of fun. Cert up on jump jets and you end up playing like batman - hanging around up on the architecture and swooping down to shotgun someone from behind before disappearing back up to the rafters
