Still pants.

Still uber laggy FPS when looking at structures, It totally froze at one point for 30secs.

AFAIK the only fix was the thing to stop people getting shot in warp gates or something.
 
Imo the new patch isn't that bad. I understand for some people though who can no longer play the game due to bad FPS, however I can live with it for a while and a fix shouldn't be too far away. I still get above 30FPS, however I have had to lower some settings, but this is fine for me until a fix is here.
However, SMG's have dissapeared from the store, have I missed something?
Feature wise, the patch seems good so far.
Performance wise, they've screwed up.
 
With the new patch, is there a way of changing the colour of the large map to make the factions different colours? ie. make vanu yellow or something and the territory they own yellow?
Also, can you change the colour of the icons for reactors and spawns etc when you are running around a base to make it easier for a colour blind person like myself to see under attack etc?

This new patch and hotfix is the worst patch I ever had to deal with it.

Weapons don't work half the time, this is a fact for everyone.

M18 will only work about 20% of the time, other then that, it does nothing, only thing you hear is the sound playing and the ammo counter going down, but no bullets.

The Prowler can only fire if you are "SIDEWAYS" Yes, that's right, SIDEWAYS for frag sake. God knows what else they have messed up since I only played in the ESF and Prowler for the last hour.

Totallly wasted my XP booster, this is really disgusting.
 
They have suggested that deleting your UserPreferences.ini might help with some FPS issues.

I won't say it's a cure all, but try it & see if it helps people suffering.

They also suggested that you switch between window mode to full screen mode to see if that helps. Yes, that helped me that falling 500 feet to the ground from my Mossy still equals DEATH.

Whoever the devs are, they haven't got a clue.

Haven't felt this angry from a game for a long time.
 
IronWarrior don't get so worked up about it, it's a new big patch and there are a few issues that are going to be getting hotfixed over the next week or so.

Mostly it was very nice, lots of very nice small improvements. Despite getting an FPS increase I do get the stuttering issue so I'm just going to wait on the hotfix... no biggy :P

It's more people acting like it's the end of the world because a developer had the temerity to patch their free game at a time that didn't suit the whole planet at once.

Like Spektor says, it's a big patch and it's a complex enough game as it is. The amount of angst going on about it here you'd swear it was a life saving drug being withheld or something :rolleyes:

Don't take this personally but if you're getting so angry over a game, then you need to take a step back from it.

MMO's are notorious for patch bugs and people need to learn that it's often the case that things don't go smooth after a big patch.

Also, the comment I see from numerous people who say "The Devs haven't a clue" have 99.9% of the time never ever been involved in game development. If it was easy and simple then they'd not have massive Devs teams.

Yeah Iron you are getting far too worked up over this.

They spent most of a weekend patching a free game.

Did you not see the patch notes? You actually except them to change that much stuff in one patch and it not result in some bugs?

My FPS is the same if not better, as is the case with most of the people on my friends list.
 
This game isn't free, so far it has cost me £90+.

Who the hell is trying to play this game for free? Do you really have time to unlock 700/1000 cert weapons?

The fact that they released a patch that took all morning, afternoon and late into the evening on Saturday wasn't just stupid but pretty sure way to naff people who work, then release a "hotfix" the next day to break everything wasn't just bad, but fooliest.

This is typicial Sony, the same crap happens everytime.

The whole Dev and PR team behind PS2 is incompetent, since it's Sunday and the Superbowl is playing, the hotfix won't be getting hotfixed till Monday I bet.

On the otherhand, the team for Firefall which so far I haven't got anything bad to say.

I can deal with a lot of stuff, but the biggest problem I have with this game is the broken rendering system. It was fine in beta but now X can't see Y but Y can see X fine, this changes with different weapons or vehicles you are using.

Everyone should have the same system.
