Some people have active, some inactive, I wouldn't worry too much its likely meaningless at this point as they've said if you played PS1 on that account you'll get into the beta at some point.

You do realise they are not really comparable? one is an MMORPG(massively multiplayer online role playing game) following the traditional wow fetch quest system which people are most likely getting fed up with now with all similar games not lasting very long.

The other is an MMOFPS (massively multiplayer online first person shooter) which is fps warfare on a massive scale (think bf3)a few thousand people per continent battling it out. Something that has only been done once before successfully and that was the original planetside.

Be nice to them over Twitter. E.g. 'You guys are doing a great job running the Twitter, keep it up!'

Majorly jelly, spent several hours spamming them last night and not received a thing Will have to try again tonight as none of my local shops sell PCGamer(Shelves full of console mags however) and I didn't play the original so is my only chance.

I got the new pcg today and added the code to my account, luckly it hadn't been stolen by one of you guys , but it was really annoying to find a copy of pcg. It's been a while since I bought pcg but I used to be able to get it from the newsagents at the end of my street but the only place I could find it was in WHSmith in the city centre, couldn't even find it in tesco :s

Anyway I'm really excited for the beta although I'm wondering how big it will be considering how many keys they are giving away.

Well I would imagine they need a considerable number of testers to properly test this kind of game so hopefully a large % of those who signed up/played the original/got a code from somewhere will get in.

Entered a code and got a weird error(Not the code has already been used error) and then got taken to the membership info screen which says:
"PLANETSIDE 2 ACCOUNT : INACTIVE

PlanetSide 2 Unlimited Play"

Am I in the beta or do I need to keep searching a code?

Correct, although the Beta hasn't started yet.

I just hope I get in on one of the early waves, the more I see of this game the more I need it in my life

I imagine the vets,e3 and pc gamer lot will only be a week or so early then they will let all the other people with keys in.

I think I've nearly watched all of TB's footage now from his time at E3, really regret doing it now has made me want the game so much more. Hopefully we wont have too long to wait till beta.
