Yeah, I thought that too. They blew up an awful lot though

From watching the streams I think the damage vehicles take needs toning down in the beta, you had people just touching down in a galaxy and taking 10% damage. Not to mention the main battle tanks tagging a rock and losing maybe 15-20%.

99% sure that you can't hack enemy tanks in PS2. Or at least you won't be able to at release.

As far as I know there isn't a fixed start date yet but a DEV said it might be starting in a few weeks in a recent interview.

If you payed for PS1 (even just for 1 month) then you don't need a beta key. Just log back into you station account, make sure all your details are up to date and you have automatic entry into the beta as a veteran.

Just log in at soe.com > click on sign up for Planetside 2 beta = job done (no beta key is required for veterans, your account will automatically include the beta)

Planetside 2 looks very much like a game where you'll miss out on most of the fun if you're not in an outfit and I know lots of people on here enjoy FPS's so hopefully we should be able to field a fairly large outfit and most importantly, have fun.

Hehe no worries was a bit of tongue in cheek but some people can get really really defensive over the term.

Should be really interesting, there was a big OcUK presence back in PS1.

Lets see if we can get the TR band back together!

Got the email and have redeemed already, thanks for the key After sending nearly 200 tweets over 5 days and getting nothing I thought I was never going to get into the beta!

Was the PS1 OcUK outfit TR? I'm willing to help set up the outfit(was involved in setting up the rift and swtor OcUK guilds) and having never played the original I don't really mind which faction we play, I'll go for whatever faction the most people on here want to play, just aslong as it is neither TR nor VS Jokes.

There is an OcUK MMO community site which we can use as a forum from where we can get everything outfit related set up and ready before the game is finally released(whenever that is). I'll try to find my login details for the site then direct everybody interested in an OcUK outfit there
