Why do I need to be quiet? Making assumptions aren't you? I'd like to very much hear how the technical beta is going, something wrong with that is there?
Yup.
Plus EU server times are changing as of today apparently.
2pm to 10pm (UK time) each day as of 7th August.
I've added an NVIDIA key to my account. Should the servers be LOCKED?
Played last night, was kind of good fun but...
Mouse controlled aircraft. Flying is a big part of a game like this for me, so mouse controlled aircraft feels like its the lowest common denominator type of flying. Mapped out a joystick in the controls but something doesnt work and i got fed up of trying to figure out what whilst crashing, when i could just fly using a mouse. Still very very clunky. 4/10
The infantry/armour is definitely where PS2 is at, had some great fun but i can see how this would be improved a hundred times with squads. Max's r awsum and all that jazz.
Wont be buying PS2 simply because i get my infantry fix elsewhere, but some good fun was had. Only graphics bug was invisible weaponry with maybe just the sight hovering in the air in front of you, but seemed very stable.
Are there any refunds given for the alpha squad pack, I have tried the game out and really dont like it. I get 20fps in any team fight which is unacceptable in a modern fps, even on low settings.
Haha your right, *must stop impulse purchases*. Getting windows 8 in 2 weeks so should be better then I hope. I sent Sony support an email stating my rights for a refund under sales of goods act and they sent me a reply stating the terms and conditions, ah well. Ill look to give it a second try when its released though it just seems lacking at the moment, aside from the fps issues which i guess they can solve (theyll need to double them for to be playable) the game seems to lack focus with everyone just running in opposite directions all the time and not working toward a specific objective. Is there going to be a OCUK company because that may add the focus the game needs for me.
People really need to quit coming out with rubbish like that. Vista is fine (though a lot hardware wasn't up to running it when it was released).
The core of vista is what windows 7 is based on, however Windows 7 is more streamlined and less memory intensive, but then I'd like to think so considering they didn't have to write a new kernel/driver stack for Win7 like they did for Vista.
Anyhow, my apologies I've got side tracked. I just wanted to add that my fps performance has been really good and I'm running 'Vista'. (the same install since it was released no less, just cloned onto new drives when I've upgraded my system)
Nothing wrong with Vista, if youre having probs but the game is launching i wouldnt bother wasting time blaming your operating system unless youre running XP or before. Processor/graphics card/RAM occassionally/SSD/ingame settings.
As for outfits, dont bother myself, maybe when weve launched and even then i dont want to use the ingame comms. Can barely hear them even with settings maxed out especially when youre hot. Just jump into a mosquito and fly around until you find a fight and join in. Hop into a sunderer before the objective is captured and ride to your next battle. Done.
I'm a total noob at this game. Never really played anything like this online. Is there any guides for total noobs anywhere. I installed the game and loaded up to the 'hub' or whatever it was, but I didn't go in to any game as had no idea what I was doing.
I was running around in an area with loads of other people but nothing else happened. I presume you have to go click on something to load a map?
What I am getting as it is more of how to play with other people, I rarely play online multiplayer games, last game I ever got involved in like that was Counter Strike Source and even then I was a bit rubbish and just did my own thing haha
