Have you tried twitter to get hold of a key? a friend of mine managed to get one yesterday with 1 tweet to the planetside guys.
 
Oh, i have a beta key, "Priority Access" but i dont think the european beta is live, and if, it is SOE haven't sent me an e-mail, i will not be happy ._.

Yeah it is there is a euro server up, 4 people from our guild including me are in :D, tho the servers are down now and no word when they will be up again.
 
AH ok, well the tech test is whats going on atm and no more invites for that will be going out. The actual closed beta sounds like its around a week away anyway so they will be ramping up the numbers in that slowly but surely so cross your fingers in a weeks time :)

aye its what they calling the tech test, but unlike a few others where they ask you to do this or that, for us its just being log in and kill kill :).

Think you right the main beta can not be far off the game whilst has bugs is still pretty polished.

I think it was smedley who tweeted that the closed beta will be a little over a week away if the tech test goes well. So i think probs around 30th / start of August for beta to start :)
 
Tech tests are ongoing but there's no news yet when the next one will be.

There wasn't one yesterday and the Devs will still be in bed atm, so we may see an `announcement` later today or tomorrow.
 
Considering the ammount of players and graphics, what spec graphics card should be minimum for the game? Think a Radeon 5850 will be enough?

I hope so, im currently running a 5850 along with a amdx4 955be. I dont expect to run it on max but as long as it looks better than ps1 then its all good for me :D
 
Yup. They said a few days ago in the beta forum.

Also they know the time is ****** for us EU players but thy need to be on hand to offer support hence why it's on during 'their' working time.
