*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

They are individual resources which you gain collectively, and the ones required for vehicles never seem to run out so dont worry about spending them.

The blue one for upgrades you need to be more careful where you spend, and it builds up based on playtime and your factions dominance.

I am also TR on EUR1, and they seem to be a bunch of lazy ******** who are usually losing and hanging around at the WG farming resources.. the other 2 factions don't seem to have such a problem with this I have noticed.

so jumped on for 20 mimns last night..... comfused.com.... lol even tho i whacked all the settings up to the max the game still looked a bit..... meh :\ i can forgive them as this is in beta :p just looked like the high textures should have been the low, field of view at a max of 74 and default 55... booo! wants more vision!!!! and everything seemed a bit blurry and i had motion blur off :(

but moving on.... ran about for a bit... clicked on the instant battle but only saw one enemy and he was a mile away on a hill sniping badly haha! i can see that you can buy vehicles and it cost some resources... is that team resources or individual?

i'm on EU1 as terran republic as that;s what a few of my clan members have gone for.

Its vertical field of view in the settings use http://www.rjdown.co.uk/projects/bfbc2/fovcalculator.php to calculate what you want :)

I'll have to correct my earlier comment, since being moved to the Northern WG, the TR seems to be owning more than half the map.maybe a strategic advantage in having that WG? NC always did well from there.

Ive maybe miss counted but I dont think there is any hex advantage to any of the warpgates. When the servers are reset we all get 3 araxium bases and the same number of other hexes. Then we fight a lot and the colours all change to reflect the WGs but the boundaries pretty much stay the same. At the moment the TR have the North of the hexes. The North has the same number of hexes as the other 2 areas just they are larger and spread out over a bigger section of the map.

Play the game a bit and you'll quickly realise the north has a massive advantage and the average resource income they get is normally 2-3 times greater than being in the South :(

Anyone got any decent tips for keybinding/using joystick in this game, which I was under the impression there was full support for (thinking otherwise now!)

My first flight was going swimmingly until I rear-ended the main base and rained debris onto my allies below...

I'm out of resources loads now as nc . I've not had one flight that didn't end in my suicide :-) so I can't help

North is an advantage - huge amounts of resources and you pretty much get left alone to them all since the SW/SE starting positions are closer to one another. If you're talking about EU01 though NC are very bad and very unorganized, they spent their whole time locked into that top half of the map whilst fruitlessly sending everyone in a mass foot zerg to West Highlands for a week straight, I feel sorry for anyone trying to get to grips with this game having picked them on EU01.

yep, I play TR on EUR1 but I didnt realise NC were struggling that badly.. they always seemed to be well within TRs quarter of the map.

Right I was ingame last night and got a few kills, Im NC and on EUR1 is there any coprs that I looking for team players?

It's because TR actually plays very well together as a faction. Their new position just means they can no longer be ganged upon so easily by the other two factions meaning they can concentrate on one front.

So what you're saying is that the Vanu are now ****ed? Always the lowest pop by far and the most disadvantaged position?

I love being the underdog anyway, so bring it on.

You're definitely going to have a much harder time of it down in that corner, I don't know if you were playing Vanu when they got the North Warpgate but they also just had the top half of the map pretty much always without anyone bothering them all that much.

I hope some major changes are in the works for Indar to address this, but tbh I'm not 100% on the factor(s) behind it, the flat and open terrain? the short distance between the SW/E Warpgates? players don't like the idea of just heading 'up'? it's definitely not faction as even the derpy NC were in danger of looking capable when they had the North WG.

No idea, wasnt there around a dozen on PS1? Its been a few years so I don't recall exactly.. but who knows, maybe F2P is 2 planets and "premium" get more :P

I thought it was three

Snow - Esamir (that one no one went to cos it was VS and boring.)
Desert - Indar (Solsar)
Trees and crap - Amerish (old Hossin style)

look in your PS2 folders :)
