*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

I got a key for this yesterday and had a quick 15min blast on it. Was so confusing, had absolutely no idea what was going on. Is there any kind of quick noobie guide for this floating about anywhere?

@Greenja - Look for an Outfit. Playing alongside people, especially with voice comms will increase your understanding of the game immensely.
 
It is rather annoying that they choose to take the servers down EU evenings, when most of us want to be playing :(

Had to spend 'quality time' with the missus for a while there! Hurry up PS2! Don't torture me again :D
 
Just logged in, had 1006 cert points? had 50 yesterday lol. Crashed, logged back in, had 380 so i spent em quick. guess theyre being generous on the certs before a wipe?

Well I guess since they don't know what people got over the weekend due to the issue they just decided to give everyone 1000 certs.

Wierd though.. the graphics seem much better in that video than on my system? (I'm running a GTX 480). Was that produced by Sony originally?

I think he used a program called sweetfx to remove the blurry fxaa the game uses and added his own AA/AF. I should be able to ask him soon, he is filming for BRTD :)
 
hey guys im trying to install planetside 2 now but it seems to be stuck at 99.4 for 10 min now, it says creating wws_crashreport_uploader.exe thats where im at the mo, is it normal to be like this?
