IN PS1 mags were always the most squishy tanks in the game has this changed? move better but die fast was how they always used to be, i havent certed up my mag yet so cant really say.
I'll give you my perspective on this. My main character is TR and we have the Prowler MBT.

Last night with some friends, we made new characters on VS, unlocked the Saron AT gun on trial and took some Magriders out for a spin.
There is simply no comparison between the Prowler and the Magrider. It's a one-sided fight every time. The Magrider is a total beast.

Mobility is a complete joke. Yeah the Magrider is ~7kph slower than the Prowler, but the Mag is an ATV in a literal sense. With each chassis upgrade the ride of the Magrider gets higher, so eventually it becomes extremely unusual to get encumbered by the terrain - it's already awesome enough at level 1. The hill climbing capability of the Mag is amazing, and great for perching on interesting cliffs / peaks. The Prowler struggles moving over pebbles, let alone steeply inclined hills.
Magrider strafing in straight-up fights is fun too.

Weaponry: the Magrider's main gun does a bit less damage than the TR's main gun. Trade this off against the Prowler having to land two shots, increased recoil and the Magrider having stronger front armour. The Magrider's hovering ability makes a very stable firing platform, even at 'odd' angles.
Then comes the Sniper-Cannon-Of-Doom Saron. It has very very high round velocity and no bullet drop from what I can see. It's brilliant at picking apart anything not moving at 200kph.
Comparing that to the Vulcan chaingun that TR get. The Vulcan is seriously rubbish against anything over 20m away due to the horrendous Cone of Fire. It has a bullet lifetime of 450m, meaning you can't even hit a Liberator hovering at mid altitude.

After last night I decided not to waste my time driving Prowlers any more. They need a serious revamp, not just two more barrels (according to the concept models floating around).

Edit: I think they need to take the Prowler out and make something that fits the TR profile a bit more - not nerf the Magrider.

OK after putting more time in with the scatter cannon I renew my statement that the klobe from goldeneye is a more effective weapon, it seems to miss with ever 2nd shot, whenever you do hit it’s defiantly not one shot one kill.

The quad-barrel Prowler is probably for the 3 person tanks they'll be adding at some point (driver (with no guns), main gunner, secondary gunner) but thats just my guess. Prowler had 2 guns in PS1 so they wouldn't just buff it by adding more in this one.

As for your comparison, having done something similar but coming from NC with the Vanguard I can only agree, it really is night and day. The Magrider just feels better in every way. It needs adjusting and hopefully they'll get on it soon. Air vs flak seems to be getting most of their attention at present though.

My aim is absolutely awful with the dalton, but a good lib pilot makes all the difference. Probably could have had at least twice as many kills but i'm not used to shooting a gun while doing barrel rolls :o And bearing in mind it's on Esamir so there are only 6 people to kill in total :D

What size is this game? If it is small enough then I might put it on my SSD as the beta on my HDD was very slow at loading :( Has the loading times improved for the final version?

EDIT:

NVM, found it, apparently 15GB, will just stick it on HDD then.

My folder is bang on 10gb.

Heres a few of the 512 outfit members that were present at the motivational speech at the start of out sat night operation :)

I've got around 600 certs and not sure what are the best things to buy with them.

I play sniper, mosquito aircraft and tank and have unlocked a better sniper scope and mosquito night vision.

Ah, shame that :( Thanks.

Just launched it up there and load times are definitely better but still a bit long so will probably move it over to the SSD.

Is there any way to get this game to fully utilise my 7850 2GB? Currently only using around 50-60% where as every other game uses 99% FPS aren't great as a result and changing settings don't make much difference.

EDIT:

Reading around it seems like a lot of people are experiencing the low GPU usage.

Could always go for Ultra settings, I use it on my now sort of dated 560ti, works ok for me (which begs the question of why it was removed..., id imagine anything better will have less of a problem.

has anyone lose noticed this in front of names, its on the player select screen, in the game, its before any txt from what i can tell

its looks like this ##UI

i have tried fixing it with steam, but nothings changed

The motion blur/blur in general probably isnt good really, sometimes it causes flickery decals/textures (foliage i guess).

Though I tend to not care too much, (Indar doesn't have much).
