Ironwarrior nobody is saying the game is without issues, but you raging about it continuously is getting boring. As others have said if you're getting this worked up about it maybe you should walk away and do something you actually enjoy? Firefall perhaps if thats more to your liking.

If you genuinely believe the dev team are incompetent etc and everything else you've said, walk away, don't give them your money and do something with it you actually enjoy because it clearly isn't worth your time or money at this point.

:D Really? £90?!

I play it occasionally and haven't spent any money at all...obviously having no real urge (or the time to play) to unlock the best weapons has helped.

Me. :) Long working days, plus a long commute and a hot wife means I don't get much time for gaming so spending cash on in game content would be a waste. Added to that the fact that SOE seem completely incompetent at managing updates and I have little incentive to drop any cash on this game. If I'd spent 90 quid on it (really?!) I'd be pretty peeved, even more so with my limited gaming time.

Fair play to them for working the weekend but really it's foolish to release such a big patch. They're just fire fighting a big list of bugs all the time. If they're intent on doing these big patches all the time a test server would help them, and their reputation, no end.

The fact that they released a patch that took all morning, afternoon and late into the evening on Saturday wasn't just stupid but pretty sure way to naff people who work, then release a "hotfix" the next day to break everything wasn't just bad, but fooliest.

This is typicial Sony, the same crap happens everytime.

The whole Dev and PR team behind PS2 is incompetent, since it's Sunday and the Superbowl is playing, the hotfix won't be getting hotfixed till Monday I bet.

On the otherhand, the team for Firefall which so far I haven't got anything bad to say.

I can deal with a lot of stuff, but the biggest problem I have with this game is the broken rendering system. It was fine in beta but now X can't see Y but Y can see X fine, this changes with different weapons or vehicles you are using.

Everyone should have the same system.

So far i've spent SC on a 2nd burster, a sniper rifle and something else i can't remember.

I don't feel the need for any other weapons. The only other thing i would be tempted to buy with SC is rocket pods for my Reaver and i may do so at some point.

Just how many weapons do you need? :confused: I'm sorry but spending ££ just to bump my k/d up by .01 from a slightly better gun doesn't really seem worthwhile :)

I think you need to grow up and realise dev for such a game isn't a piece of cake.
 
Im probably around the hundred squid mark, made life easier for the part time player. Unfortunately after playing solidly during the double xp period, with boosts and all for max effect, i completely burned out with 16000 SC lol. Hoping to get back into it at some point, if not ill have to wait until the new EQ lol.
 
The hotfix did nothing, everything on low, in window mode at half my normal resolution and i only get 30 fps if i am lucky.

This game is a joke
 
Yeah the hotfix broke it even more lol. Once its sorted I think the actual content and changes are rather good.

oh and lol @ Ironwarrior. Uninstall dude, seriously.
 
If you hate the game so much IW & think that the Devs are such morons as you keep saying again & again, you've got a few options.

Quit playing
Accept the bugs & wait for them to fix
Become a Developer & tell Sony how to fix their game
Quit playing (just in case you missed it the 1st time)

The fact of the matter is, the game is essentially Free. Nobody has forced you to put money into it, you chose to do it.

I'm an Alpha Squad member and bought about £20 of SC but I think it's worth it but I'll wait for the fixes to arrive. PC gaming & MMO's are difficult to create as different systems cause different issues hence why lots of Devs go console only as you run on standardised hardware.

Either suck it up and realise it's never perfect or shut up tbh.
 
Alpha squad here and €20 worth of SC when they were selling triple free over xmas. I still haven't spent it all, how on earth you can drop £90 on the game is beyond me, unless you have a thing for camo or running lights or something.

Buy it during the triple xp if you have the cash. Im going to guess theres some new stuff planned once things settle, theyre talking a lot of new stuff. No point buying your SC then.

So far I've just got a sub running and I'VE spent £14 on Station cash on a triple weekend (that I still have 4000 of left). So I've spent about a 3rd of what you have and I'm still having a blast :-)

Although I'm not too pleased about the nerf to my Maggies climing ability :-(
