**Official Portal 2 thread**

Just started Chapter II. Chapter I was a good introduction to the concept for newcomers but I was relieved to hear GLaDOS again. She sounds so much better this time round...more evil. Portal's just not the same without her.

Okay, I have £30 to spare.. this or Mortal Kombat? I am torn.

I am about to watch both reviews on GameTrailers, but I want your opinions guys and gals. I loved the previous Portal.. so..

Surprised you're even asking!

Dunno, i know there's apparently hats and **** ?

Yeah, when I loaded it up the first time it popped up saying I had found 3 hats, they were transferred from TF2 and I presume you will be able to buy them at some point, It's purely cosmetic though and doesn't affect the game at all

Of all the days to be working an 11 hour shift, it had to be today. I've been reading this thread all day and happy to see good reviews. I only had time to open the menu before I left for work so am dying to get back! My gf asked me not to go straight onto my pc when I get home, I could make no such promise

They say in reviews it's about twice as long, as is the cooperative itself too.
I hope they are true.

I think i've nearly finished (i think) and its taken me around 5-6 hours so yes, definitely longer.

Yeah it wasn't the same without GlaDOS commenting. At least when she returns her insults are better than ever :D

Anyone reach chapter 6 yet? The screen just gets stuck and I can't move..

I had the game freeze for a good few seconds once, don't remember when that was though. Other than that its worked flawlessly.

Anyone tried to co-op?

Is there much scope of this being a good online game? Or once you've done it it's done with ?

Yup - nearly finished it (unless last chapter is significantly longer on co-op) with my housemate.

Its fantastic and GLADOS is even better in co-op! But it relies massively on good communication. It offers useful tools like portal markers and timers to work together but imo without voice communiction you're stuffed. Fortunately my housemate is across the table from me so not an issue... makes it easier to curse each others mistakes as well :)

what is the minimal singleplayer chapter requirement for coop?

i heard you need to play a bit of singleplayer to get through the tutorials first.
