I've been struggling to find the fun in games recently. I've started so many and not completed them. I've forced myself to sit and play things that don't have my attention at all - Bad Company 2, Cataclysm, Shogun 2, Dragon Age 2, Retribution, DCUO, Rift to name just a few. Crysis 2 is the last game I completed, and I persevered with that more because I was impressed by it rather than really enjoying it. I was starting to think I'd simply grown out of computer games altogether and would never be able to enjoy one as much as I used to.
And then this came along. Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. I don't think I've had a smile on my face for a sustained period of time as long as this since my Arrested Development boxset marathon. It's not only the supreme writing and voice-work within the uniquely crafted gameworld that filled me with joy - it was solving the puzzles as well. If it wasn't for the number of loading screens, this game would be flawless (funnily enough, the loading screens were also the solitary problem of the last game I fell in love with - Mass Effect 2).
Looking forward to the DLC.

Should I play through Portal first?
I own the original but didn't really get in to it... worries me I won't like number 2, yet the overwhelming consensus is it's great!
Just added myself to the Steam List in sticky, but incase nobody checks there, anyone up for some co-op? Preferably someone who hasn't played co-op either. Add zdtbird if interested.
I will be up for it once I completed single player
