Gameplay and behind the scenes vids:

Has to be noted its hard to tell what the gameplay is taken from, ps3, 360 or PC, possibly PC with a pad, but more likely 360 given Game Devs trends these days.

Also notable is the spiderbot which seems to be a leftover from Doom 3 reimagined for this game, features in vid 2.

In "the well" gameplay, look out for the Quayola crayons and the Pinkies. :p

Game is great...

As always, "official" threads when there's already a perfectly good thread are a bit of a joke, though.

OI, less of it lest ye be smacked down. :p

An "offical" thread close to a games release is a tradition on here these days :D

Plus i have the media linked so you lot don't get finger strain having to click too much!

I suspect FO4 would be more likely to use the same engine as Skyrim. ;)

Suppose it could come down to when fallout 4 actually appears, idtech5 has room for a lot of improvement, i suspect most of what we're seeing now is scratching the surface of what it can do, especially considering the games console spec basis.

I watched the Behind the Scenes pt 5 video, looks really great. It seems to have come a long way since the last video I watched.

Does look much more polished, even the human textures seem to be a bit more convincing and not as shiny as they were previously. Seems to be an issue with idtech engines.

Wouldn't be too bad, should take around 2 hours on a 24Mb connection, and 6 hours on a 8Mb connection. That's easily an overnight download.

I myself don't mind, I did after all download Dragon Age from Steam with that being around 24GB. :o :p

If there was a guaranteed preload i might, i remember the utter cluster**** that was the crysis warhead launch, getting insanely slow speeds for most of the night, mainly because of no preload. Valve are usually very cagey saying if theres a preload or not in a lot of cases.
