I updated my drivers to the ATI Rage one and have to say it did make a difference. vastly reducing the texure pop-in problem that so many were experiencing. I also addd a config that was posted on this thread (forgot the page) as well just in case. Only issues now are the odd freezing-for-a-second and the biggest pain for me, the crashes :(

Every time i put them on the game wont get past the initial menu, and without them i was having shockingly bad graphic corruption.

Got it runing first part of game when you get out of pad it just screen tears like hell so unplayable, Im trying a config from a post in steam forums see if it makes a difference, No difference still tears like hell, Also looks turd hopefully an official patch will fix it as whilst these configs work for some people. Id NEED to sort it them selves also.

Spec as follows AMD X6 1090T, 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz Kingston Hyper X,480GTX, Game is installed on 2 Samsung F1 which have been raided to improve the speeds, OS is Win7 Ultimate 64bit

My pre-order still isn't here despite being despatched Wednesday afternoon (aparently). Don't buy from Shopto guys.

Must be a prob with postal service then eh and not Shopto ? I've order loads of games through Shopto including Rage never had a prob with them and my Rage came with the postie this morning :)

For all the hate this game has been getting in here I must say how good I think it looks! And it stays so smooth as well.

The characters and art direction are great it is a nice cross between fallout and Quake series, not a bad mixture.

The racing is decent as well which is surprising as its usually just tacked on but it seems to work well enough.

I think the art is great its just its not shown in the correct detail for most people or doesnt work. Mine and few others have what id say is a high-end PC is and all we see is something which quite badly at times looks worse than Duke Nukem Forever but atleast that played for most people.

Im sure ill like this but the way it tears makes it hard too. I still love the idea of the game but i think ill leave it installed till some sort of official patch is done and return to it, I Paid £14.87 for it as i sued reward points with purple store so i cant moan too much.

Really disappointed by Rage to be honest. Not that I've been able to play it. When I load it up, as you're coming out of the cryo pod, the game just locks up for 2-3 seconds, lets you move around for a second, then hitches again.

The menus and mouse accel while in menus really show they designed this for consoles. So sad to see something like this come from ID.

Still they'll patch it, that much is likely. But still really upset John Carmack would have let a game ship in this state.

Sorry if posted befor.

How does it fare on the consoles? do they have any of the problems we are having?

I mean it's obvious we just got a straight port from the looks of things but from the sheer amount of bugs/glitches ect it's as if it was ported and never tested.

Stuff like this goes a long way towards convincing me to avoid all pre-orders from now on. far too many games are released is a shoddy state lately.
