Yeah, keen to see it as this is the sort of thing that'll happen next time I install my OS and nobody has a fix for![]()
That looks almost like an drive issue. Like it’s not saving the data fast enough to the drive so it’s skipping frames.
do a drive SMART health check something like HD sentinel will do this for free.
Also what is your recording setup are you using a dedicated cache drive or is it the same as your games drive ect?
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a look at that program now. I did wonder about drive performance.
I record to a separate drive which is an 850 Evo. Nothing is flagged in device manager.
Is it necessary to register or should a 'quick' test be sufficient? Nothing detected so far anyway, temps all good, etc.
I never register, I just get the free trial and check the health percentages.
I will have a closer look later in the evening, I’m a little busy now but will try and figure out what else could be a cause.
Thanks. The health percentages are in the 90s for both drives (98% with the recording drive).
I've also turned off the machine and checked that the cables were connected securely, no problems there either.
Just thought, I actually have the stalker games. If you can send me your OBS settings on trust or post them in here and I will see if I can replicate this issue and if I can see if I can resolve it.
Haven’t used the anomaly mod before that ones is new to me but il get it installed for this testing.
Appreciate it, thanks.
I'll post as much of what I think will be relevant settings-wise in a moment or two.
Edit: I wonder if Windows Aero could be the culprit, just a random hunch.
You in windows 10? I’m pretty sure windows 10 doesn’t yet have Aero!
Is there a reason you have rescaled output and output resolution checked when they are the same as your base res?
Ok, cheers.
Enjoy the mod.
Edit: make sure you install 1.3.3, 1.4, then 1.5 (including any patches).
I should add that this issue crops up whether I'm recording MP4 or MKV.
maybe my system is showing its age...
