****Official rFactor 2 Thread****

http://www.bsimracing.com/wsgt/

rFactor 2 Beta is out. So we can start work on the WSGT2 mod as it is intended. We are not planning to rush development, and are now in what you would call " the exploration" part of the project. The Aston Martin One -77 has been the test subject of choice. We will keep you posted on further developments and findings. Note that the GT Cars will probably not be the first cars to be released. Once we feel we covered all the basics, we will start work on a CUP series car. The LOtus 2 Eleven might be our first choice. After that, we will release the WSGT in service packs. We will keep you posted.
As usual, all is well at RMT

whats this? a new mod?

Its a mod that has been worked on for a few years. They have known rfactor 2 will come out since 2010 like all of us so they decided to spend time making a highly detailed mod. Now the rfactor 2 is out, they are testing it :)
They have not said when they are releasing. Im guessing they will release when rfactor 2 is out of its beta.

Play rfactor 2 at night with full AA ad HDR at 1920x1080. In the rain as well. Im sure you will disagree. Also use some FXAA Injections, apparently they work in rfactor 2 ;)

http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/2148-Antialiasing-injection-fxaa-smaa Not tried it myself in rfactor 2, but for games like skyrim and ME it works wonders!

My best advice if you want a fast time, make a sunny practice session last 2 hours, have at least 20 AI and just batter around for an hour, then boot all the AI and go for it. I see some peoples laps, they come in every 3-4 laps...you need to stay out for at least 10 laps to get the best tyre temps!

So when in an online practise session. best to just hang back for a bit and let others warm up the track for u and then do at least 10 laps?

no. its best to go out there, learn the track as much as possible even when it has no grip. Im a fast driver, i dont wait for others to go warm the track up for me. Im still like to attempt a fast lap on a slippery circuit. Also you need your tyres warmed up, so if your out there warming the track up, your warming your tyres up at the same time.
