***Official Rift Planes of Telara Thread***

the guild switch feature is awesome, if the Guild Master goes to transfer, it will ask do they want to guild transfer, and it will prompt all current members of said guild to do so.
When transfering, it SHOULD have a symbol next to the shard the guild has moved to.

Played this in the open beta but I wasn't impressed. How well has the game progressed since then? I'm a Wow vet/multiboxer and wouldn't mind giving this another go sometime. In the beta the game was nothing special, though that is to be expected given it's similarities to WoW and other mmo's.

How does the difficulty of PvE gameplay compare to that of TBC/WOTLK Wow? The combat was pretty clunky for me during the beta, presumably things have gotten better? Some videos that show the game in all it's glory would be awesome, both PvP and PvE. I'm using a netbook until OcUK get me a replacement mobo for my main rig, loading videos on this thing takes ages. which kind of makes it hard to find decent videos myself.

Raids are much better than in WOTLK. Seeing as it was just a faceroll that isnt difficult.
Yes the combat doesn't feel clunky.
Even the heroics are a reasonable challenge at first, until the usual outgearing of them.

I played it for about 5mins (literally) yesterday.

Initial thoughts were, it looked pretty good. A lot better than WOW even after the game told me I had a crap GPU/low spec.

So ideally, at end game I would like to tank and/or heal. I've always liked being a big part of raids/dungeons but obviously as I have no idea what I'm doing I'll go for DPS for now.

Is there any class that can effectively do all these rolls at endgame but also allows levelling to be fairly painless?

If not I'll just start levelling a pure DPS class then when I know what I'm doing start a new toon.

Any awesome beginners guides I can be pointed towards? :)

You deff want to roll a cleric.

Yeah we moved Harmless from Shivermere to Bloodiron today. After a few big guilds left on our server, it started looking like a bad downward spiral so jumped ship.

It's very busy compared to how quiet Shivermere has been the past month or so. We will see if it was the best option in the near future, but so far loving the switch.

and a good move it was :D

can i join covenant please? rogue dps/support in game name is stringam.

Yes :) Can you sign up for the website and also /w an officer in game. :)

Absolutely LOVED the game this eve. Much better server and having ~20 people online all who were mostly 50 was great. Getting there.... :)

Will probably start a new char on the server you guys are on - what would you say is the most needed role as a whole on the server?
Was thinking of going tank but (and I doubt this is the case) there's no point if there are too many!

IMO tanks are in much higher demand than healers, as the cleric class is so versatile and strong that there are lots of them. Also , as seems to be the case in MMOs, few people want to be the tank and the responsibility that comes with being the tank. Takes a special kind of player to tank :)

I also dont seem to notice many rogues about surprisingly, though its kind of the point of rogues that I dont notice them I suppose :D

Tanks are always welcome but, it is a game and if you dont like playing a tank, then go with someone you will get some enjoyment from. However, what with the soul system you can always have a dps spec for soloing or swaping out if needed.

Go to www.ocuk.guildlaunch.com and apply to the Guild and an Officer will contact you later.

Will I get a prompt to server switch with the rest of Covenant next time I log on then?

Yes, there will be some blurb about Covenant being moved to Bloodiron by Caprice and is now known as Orphiel's Covenant. Just go back to your character selection screen and click transfer. You will automatically rejoin the Guild this way.
You need to ensure that your AH is clear as is the postbox.
