Rovers were pants, yet again. Was surprisingly cold at Saints but walked in with a few Saints fans, always a decent bunch of people and had a good chat.

Onto Wigan next week, got some old friends from uni coming up and we are going to the game. Again, more in hope than expectation...

HKR looked really good in the first half, but Wigan held on and pulled away in the last third of the game. It looked like HKR would score every time that they got into Wigan's 20 in the first half. The defence out wide was abysmal. I don't know technically what they did to fix it up at half time, but it worked.

That's a fair point, but I'd also argue that Wigan looked like they would score every time they got near Rovers line!

Good game though, enjoyed it up until the result became inevitable! Whilst we don't look in a good position in the table, we have got rid of Huddersfield, Wigan and Saints away, along with Leeds at home, all of which are games we would have been clear underdogs to win. I aren't panicking yet...

I stopped watching after 20 minutes and did something else! The London full back looked alright though, not sure his name, the rest of his team let him down. London definitely for the drop.

Poor, poor game at Craven Park today, albeit the conditions were dreadful at times, however there were more errors than points.

Rovers utterly dominant from start to finish. I'd love to see the tackle count and possession stats because I don't think Bradford even threatened. I don't mean to sound derogatory towards them but I seriously can't understand how they have got the two wins. They had ideas and effort but they are really lacking size.

Rovers again lacked that cutting edge, Keating got MOTM but I really don't understand where that came from, Burns was much the better of the half backs. Rovers were good in the forwards though, Weyman and Larroyer again looking dangerous. We did the tough stuff well, but tried our best to throw it away at times!

Oh and Widnes v Hull! Haha! Nice one Widnes!

It was a great game, low scoring but it definitely had me hooked.

I thought Saints would really rue not going for that drop goal attempt, but then they got the try so it was immaterial.

I thought Bradford were bad, Wakefield were worse. Rovers totally dominant throughout both halves and were desperately unlucky not to keep them to nil. I am hoping that this will kick start the season, we have got a fair few tough away games out of the way so hopefully that will tell in the table over the weeks to come.

Good win for HKR today physic, where's that come from? :p

The table shows us in poor form, but really, we have had a really tough set of fixtures such as Saints, Wigan, Hudders away and Leeds at home. They were always going to be hard to win and subequently we only got 1 point from all four of those games and were unlucky not to get at least 2 points.

We have now played Bradford and Wakefield which were both easier games (albeit Castleford should have been one we should have targetted for a victory but we were woeful).

Travis Burns got put on report but having seen the incident back I really don't think he has anything to answer for, but I still reckon the RFL will see his name on their pieces of paper and slap him with a 3 match ban!

I thought a point would have been fair to both Leeds and Saints, but fair play to Saints on the night in grabbing the victory. Don't think there were too many contentious decisions made, cracking game though.

Neil Hudgell has been fined £1000 by the RFL for his comments. He has confirmed he is appealing the decision and is "looking forwards to presenting my case". Good on him, I say.

Accepting the fine is the same as accepting you were in the wrong and that you made a mistake.

Amazing win for Rovers last night, especially considering the amount of injuries we picked up before and during the game, finished with only 13 players so no interchanges left! Practically faultless performance from Rovers against a misfiring Wire. I don't know what's up with them this season but they just haven't got it, maybe they miss the likes of Briers and (given his outstanding performance for Hull against the Giants) Carvell.

Brilliant atmosphere throughout from the Rovers fans, but then again it always is when you're in front for the whole game. Took a couple of mates who are from Manchester to their first RL game (City and Utd supporters mainly) and they absolutely loved it, the whole experience. Lost my voice for about 3 hours, it was just a whisper at the end! Talking like Kurt Cobain this morning. But I don't think you can spend a better £20 than that.

Weyman and Costigan bossed the Wire pack the whole game, Weyman in particular was brilliant. His first try was fantastic, who knew a big prop forward could carry so much pace to be on the shoulders of the wingers to score in a break away try?!? Travis Burns though, was absolutely outstanding, pulling the strings from minute 1 to minute 80, everything he touched turned to gold. Now all he needs to do is replicate that sort of performance every week, he has been far too inconsistent for my liking.

Disappointed though that Wire knocked us out of the cup, it was a very closely fought game and it was probably just the bounce of the ball that cost us the victory.

Costigan is a bit of a hard case I'd heard.

He took a while to get going and get up to fitness but is now looking like a fearsome defender. He is like Jason Netherton on acid.

Talking to a Wire mate he was saying that Briers early retirement has caught them off guard a little bit but they have had more than enough time to get a replacement. Losing Morley, Carvell and Hodgson have also been massive losses, if not for their energy and exuberance then definitely for the experience and game management that they brought. He was also not that enamoured with Myler, Bridge and Ratchford now pulling the strings.

He is only on a 1 year deal with Newcastle, so it is not completely out of the question, but I think he will stay over in Oz for a few good years yet if he can. He's saved us on more than one occasion but I've got to admit it would be saddening to see him back in SL not wearing a Rovers shirt!

I can practically smell Derby Day! Train up from Reading booked for tomorrow morning :D

Its our derby tonight. Looking forwards to it but I just cannot predict an outcome. Usually the methodology is to look at each team's recent form, find the one with the best form then pick the other!

A little concerned about our discipline tonight, I fear FC will do their level best to get in the faces or Poore and Cockayne, the challenge is not to rise to it!

Discipline costing us so far.

Dubious decision in not awarding a Rovers try there...not sure Hall knocked that ball forwards...

I literally cannot believe what I am seeing here, some absolutely ludicrous video referee decisions going here. Lost for words. Seemingly legitimate try from Larroyer chalked off. What a joke.

Forward pass for a FC try. Hall judged to have knocked on on the line and Larroyers try chalked off because Salter who was going in for a tackle pulled out at the last minute but couldn't stop the collision was then deemed a shoulder charge after the ball had been dropped by the FC player. Farcical.
