Saints are so much better than all the rest its ridiculous!

Good Rovers win on Friday night, inching our way safer but its gong to be really tight at the bottom. Wakefield have a horrendous run in so could see them dragged well into this.

Hopefully Parcell will recover quickly from his shoulder injury as he has been a bit of a catalyst (amongst others) in our recent upturn in form.

I am really not a fan of these loop fixtures at all. I think its ridiculous having to play teams over and over, and despite all the player pool concern that would be raised if SL were expanded, I think it kinda makes sense to expand the league. I think you need the following:

Bradford - SL has missed Bradford, so provided they are being run correctly I'd admit them.
Toulouse - Catalan need a local rival.

That leaves the big question marks over teams like Toronto, New York and to a certain extent York City Knights who are really pulling up trees these last few years, getting a new ground and are expanding their support base.

Another massive one (aren't they all) for Rovers this weekend against Shudders. Going to be close, but hopefully home advantage will tip it for us.

Managed to attend a home game for a change, first one in a while, and what a game to attend.

Rovers squandered a 12 point lead to go 12 points behind in the second half, only to draw it level and take it to golden point.

Step up Danny Maguire, Rovers receive the ball, 5 tackles then to Mags who kicks a 40-20, for us to kick the drop goal on the restart. Astonishing end to the game. Cas fans will be gutted.

The relegation battle however is good watching.

Speak for yourself! :D

We have generally played pretty well as of late but it would be VERY like Rovers to lose against Wakey on the weekend leaving it all to do. We never do it the easy way. Fingers crossed we get the victory though, it will be crucial, but so is the London game. If you are Tony Smith though, they are all winnable games and his teams should try and win them all. An admirable mindset.

Oh my, another season of mediocrity over again. I felt so unbelievably low when we failed to beat London. The rest of the week following was just agonising. Fingers crossed for a better season next year, just to not face relegation would be a bonus, to be honest.

Good display from Rovers against the form team Salford. But again the same old weaknesses, not being able to close games out and conceding last minute tries to lose the game. We need some steel in our side that has been sadly missing since the days of Galea and Newton.

London exceeded all expectations throughout the season tbf. Looks like HKR are getting some decent recruitment in for next year. You can see Toronto spending a few bob to get a decent team together if they come up. It will be tight again at the bottom next season. I still haven't recovered from Wigan's relegation battle in 2006 and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Wonder how long it will take Jackson Hastings to turn from all round good bloke, top player, etc to public enemy number 1 once he puts a Wigan shirt on :)

I love Sam Tomkins now because of that very reason! What a great player he is! :D

I can see Toronto spending massively and definitely going for both marquee spots too. Not convinced on our recruitment yet. Most of them are good prospects and young/inexperienced. Parcell would be a decent replacement for Lunt (even if he does cop a 3 match ban for god knows what!). Still not sure we will keep Ryan Lannon either, something definitely not right with his loan back to Salford, something smells a bit with that one but I'm not sure what.

What's happened with Joel Tomkins? All seems a bit sudden and dramatic. Any inside stories?

Looks like Jackson Hastings is odds on for Man of Steel. Best enjoy his universal popularity while he can before he becomes 'insert rodent name' Boy next season :)

No idea and no rumour mills circulating either.

To be honest, he put in a shift but he is really not the player he used to be and he wasn't particularly captain material either. I'm not too disappointed he's gone, and at least the club can right their moral compass a little bit now. The club will certainly now have a fair bit of cap spare with Mags, Tomkins and Drinkwater off the books.

Looking forward to tonights game.

For as good as Salford were last night (they were excellent), Wigan were absolutely dire. Kicking out on the full twice, conceding three penalties in the first ten minutes alone, passing the ball out of play, dropping the ball at the play the ball, holding down, obstructions. A very disappointing semi final but I think I'll be going to OT with a Salford mate.

For balance though, there are still a number of criticisms to level at Salford, they seemingly put all their TV money into their first team squad. The result: no academy, no reserves, no u19s, no local player development.

Wolfpack promoted. An extra £150k in Rovers coffers I guess as they won't take central funding. Looked a good atmosphere and crowd there to be fair. Always going to be divisive though. My dad will be frothing with rage right now, guaranteed!
