*** Official September 7th Apple Event "Far Out" (18:00 BST) ***

Actually looking forward to this. Been pondering over an iPhone for a few years now, but my Note 10+ is 3 years old and my Samsung Gear S3 watch is probably close to 5 years old, so feel like I'm due an upgrade. My wife just picked up a 13 Pro and it's a stunning phone it has to be said. It's pretty much sold me on getting a 14 Pro, and a Series 8 watch.

Assuming the 14 Pro is going to have an always on display, that's a big plus to me as that's a feature I've had on Samsung phones for years and wouldn't like to be without.

The title of the event "Far out" is interesting....they bringing some astrophotography or scumbag zoom to compete with Google/Samsung? Hope so!

Currently sat with the latest Ipad Pro, an iPhone 13 Pro Max and an Apple Watch series 4. Can't in a million years justify an update to the phone or the tablet but the watch has seen better days. Hopefully the 8th gen is a significant step up.

I currently have a Watch SE, but honestly don't use it for anything other than looking at the time, and letting it track my heart rate and steps. Not sure I'd get another one. I only got it in the first place as the FitBit app won't export heart data to Apple Health. I might be happy to just get one of the cheaper FitBits as a replacement and just deal with their app. That or just get one of the retro basic Casios I keep seeing advertised everywhere :D

I'm in the market for a new iPad so I'm hoping for new iPad Pros. If we get M2 and MiniLED into the 11" then that's the dream upgrade. Sadly no leaks about it yet so unlikely. Maybe we'll get that next spring.

does any iphone take physical dual sim or is it still only 1 sim and esim. Do all carriers now offer eSim because last time I got a iphone in 2020 I didn't have a compatible eSim carrier so sent it back and got a S20+

They don't all do eSim but I think 02, Vodafone and (maybe) Three do. Was looking into this as I'm just on GiffGaff at the moment (who don't support it).
