Some intelligent UI design around those notifications, they make the phone one big and the middle black so it fits in, quite neat

I guess by doing this, you don’t think of it as a cut out from the screen, but part of the screen that shows info.

The name is absolutely pants but the feature is pretty damn cool; wonder if other manufacturers will develop something similar.
