Official Spider-Man 2 (PS5) Thread - 30fps, 40fps, 60fps, 120fps! (*Spoilers Inside*)

You can use the gusts of wind and the green circles that appear when you press R3 to go even faster. You can easily fly across the river using that method.

Gonna climb avengers tower again later, jump off and see how far the wings/webs can take me without any boosts.

Combining the wing suit with swinging around the city is so much fun, you can sort of just get lost and forget about the main campaign and just swing from crime to crime!

It's also a stunning game, YouTube uploads directly from the PS5 tends to lose the quality a bit and it obviously only uploads at 1080p but even from this short 20s clip you can sort of see how gorgeous the game is. Definitely enjoying the 40fps mode as well, first time I've ever used it on any game and it's working really well.

I set the PS5 to record at 4k in webm format and exported it to USB and played it back on a laptop. It shows the resolution is 2160p and also 60fps, but doesn't look that amazing. Now I uploaded it to Youtube and it's processing (1 hr left!). Is this the only way to share 4k captures with the built in tools?

Edit: I think you are at the exact same point in the game as me, just watched a long cut scene with Peter and Harry and now need to go to the Raft as Miles.

I'm still reluctant to start the story missions as flying and webbing around is so much fun. :D

Serious question, is this playable for folks that cannot combo/button mash? For context I basically couldn't do combo's of any sort on Arkham Knight though I did like the game itself. I remember being good at Tekken and Street Fighter as a teenager but I lost it. I do have fast reactions though, have no issues with recent Tomb Raider, Uncharted type games.

I think so. These days games have so many accessibility options, and this game is no exception.

Yeah it’s fine. I am no spring chicken to say the least but I am fine with these games on normal despite my 54 years. I don’t like combo based games generally but these are fine with minimal frustrations.
 
Played a few more hours this afternoon and what a game the devs have come up with. Everything about it just oozes quality, the graphics, the gameplay, the sound, it’s top notch.

Interesting combat, missions, collectibles and side missions but above all that it’s just an absolute blast to play, so much fun. I have a feeling of GOTY contender.

I think so, I used to do that for screenshots as it was the same situation. I guess the only other way is having a capture card and recording directly from your PS5.

I only tend to record short clips of trophies or moments so not a major issue for me, just a shame it reduces the quality of how it looks.

So far I’ve done a mixture of main story missions as well as just a variety of activities you stumble into! In terms of where I am in the story now…

Black Cat has just disappeared through a portal to Paris!

Unrelated but relevant, the detail / fabric quality on Harry Osbourne’s cardigan is incredible. I’ve never wanted to own a video game item of clothing before…!
 
Best PlayStation purchase, ever. So so glad they bought insomniac. Seriously talented devs.

I would rate them the same level as naughty dog, if not better. As they have seriously good output.
