*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

think both are really busy, Tomb of Freedon Nadd is pvp, whilst The Red Eclipse is pve.

A lot of the big pvp guilds left TOFN when there was not much pvp content realised in the last big update, hence why TRE got more popular. With no new warzone or pvp content mentioned in 3.0 it might lose more.

The loss of "big PvP guilds" is really not that much of a loss. I'm mainly on the Progenitor and never have to wait that long for WZ pops - except in very unsociable hours.
The loss of the "big PvP guilds" means that the zones are far more evenly matched and basically a lot more fun. Before, as soon as you saw 4 or 8 from the same guild you knew it was just going to be a slaughter at the hands of a "perfect" using voice chat.

I been playing for a couple of nights on The Red Eclipse, loving it, i played the game at release for a couple of months and got bored, i never really got into the endgame at the time either as the game was balanced horribly and not many people were raiding or even doing high lvl content.

Anyhow so i been back a few nights, its brilliant fun, the server is busy, i normally only wait a minute at the most when queing for dungeons at the low end (done black talon, the hammer one and also some other thing that boosted me to 55) people are friendly and helpful.

Loving it so much i resubbed and im tempted to pre-order the next expansion, only thing putting me off is the 1200% increase to class quest exp hahah, its cheap as chips too at £12.

Whyh would 1200% xp put you off? Its the only reason I even installed the game again :P I hated side quests but loved the story, this is perfect.

Depends, if it outlevels you past content that gives xp but you need items, well.. I guess if you got cash to buy stuff it's no prob! ;p

I wish I had time to play this again, I really enjoyed it.

Scroll down and read about gear also 0 credits to train and speeder abilities.

Just read that Ilum quests give you the xp boost plus your Legacy gets the boost too. That alone is worth the £12 quid.

Yeah the only thing that worries me about the exp increase is being undergeared for content, i know at 55 i am going to join the regearing treadmill anyhow, i just dont like the thought of not being able to kill stuff i should be able to kill because my gear sucks.

And being a new server i have zero cash.

I made a character to check it out logged on 3 different times on the sith fleet, 2 of the 3 times tofn had more on line, and both times by a big difference.

so i don't know about the other server having more not that it really matters as one is a pvp and one is teddy bear server, so its what suits i guess.

Played this for a long time and got bored once I hit lvl 55 and wasnt seeing anymore content after rise of the hutt expansion.

A year has passed so might be time to take another look at this again though not sure if its worth a sub again.

Even worse, i gave all my stuff away and deleted my old toons so its start from scratch for me :(

Same, deleted all my old characters and started fresh on TRE. Made a sith marauder and an imperial agent, because I heard the story is really good. Really hate the idea of the cover mechanic though so will prob just abandon it after the story.

I constantly drop in and out of this game. Played it solidly at release but after a month I couldn't keep it up.

I can never get back into it either! Always find it a little bit anti-social for an MMO as well, which is a bit peculiar. :/

Join a active guild.

Yeah it hasnt had any endgame REAL content injection for so long now....
Hopefully this will bring a few more months NEW life into the game.
The Bioware questing style and story stuff is the only real reason to play the game, they truley excel at it. Every MMO should learn from that.

The new expansion increases the level? I haven't got my main to level 30 yet! Tempted to reroll for a smuggler to use for Bounty Hunting quests. I am too much of a nice person in real-life to play on Darkside. :)
