]Changes to Dustbowl
Added a new access point to the stage2 attacker gates (drop-down left from spawn), allowing attackers a way to reach the left route without being subjected to the spam and sentry gun fire
So badly needed this one, trying to get out of that entrance when playing even a half decent team is nigh impossible.

Fixed trains not starting on map spawn
I did wonder where the trains had gone :)

Added flamethrower "sizzle" sound when the Pyro is hitting a target
Nice touch, although might get annoying.


Suprised they was no class changed, and Hydro still BADLY need less entry points on the last map when you are about to either win the map or loose it, it's practically impossible to defend it.
 
Thanks for the update. I'm a fool for getting my hopes up for a 7pm release.

You know how Valve do things if you've ever waited for an update. I stayed up for the TF2 beta release and when I woke up the next day it still hasn't been released. I'm beginning to think Valve shouldn't announce these big updates and just suprise us.

Yeah I do remember that. Luckily I wasn’t interested in TF2 back then so it didn’t bother me (how times have changed). But a few friends who I play with now got a little impatient. :D

Had a quick play tonight on Badlands, haven't seen the other updates yet. Completely loving it so far, very intresting map and completely different to everything else. Going to take some getting used to but it should stand up well.

The new Pyro sizzle is awesome as well. :D
 
Been playing badlands for a while, good map once you learn the layout, it is a symmetrical map that basically consists of 5 control points. Each team has one control point in a home building (see below) then outside each team has a spiral with a control point on it (see the screenshot on the OP). The final control point is in the center on a wodden bridge like structure. I think that it is a very good mp for spies because there are loads of places to hide, also scouts have a benefit because there are lots of ledges to jump between. The outdoor area is mostly raised playforms where the majority of the action takes place, a canyon below provides an alternative route and is a good spot for snipers to camp out.

i played this map a bit last night, but there were only 2 or 3 people on the map so it was a bit rubbish. one thing i did notice though was that the map "hung" a few times, with the sound looping, like massive lag spikes but i couldn't move. it happened on different servers in random places so i put it down to server load or something, i'll try it again tonight and see what happens.

good work on those screenies RobH :)
