I'm going up Saturday and Sunday on a corporate ticket. Free beer, champagne and food.....nom nom!

Didn't manage to make it to a race last season so it will be good to go to Silverstone again!

There are a group of 10 of us going and we are staying Banbury and getting taxi's over to the circuit each day.

Anyone else going, what are you your plans?

Heading up on the Wednesday to make a loooong weekend of it. Camping on the lively campsite at Brooklands (iirc) with a group of 9 of us.
Looking forward to the general atmosphere and other entertainment as much as the race itself :)

3 day ticket.

Going with a mate on friday. We'll do a full lap roam I think as he hasn't been before.
Then sat/sun I have a seat at Club corner and I'll probably stay there the whole time. Might go and do the heli ride for £45 on race morning.

Big pic here which helps to see the new stands - http://www.silverstoneracingclub.co.uk/assets/_X0C2296.jpg

Luffield last year was great, you hear them coming from the new arena section, braking hard into the complex, around and back out flat towards the old start/finish.

Thanks.

Hear them ... but don't see them? Luffield grandstands are facing Woodcote grandstands are they not... Although you'd be able to see a lot of overtakes I imagine into Brooklands.

Woodcote A faces right down the Wellington straight. Id recommend there.

I am also hoping that they use the Wellington straight as the DRS zone as I don't think any of the other straights have good corners at the end for it (Copse, Stowe, Abbey).

Actually I think judging by that pic Woodcote would be a great grandstand to get a seat in... how much more of the track can you see say compared to sitting General admission at Beckett's as I've done for the last two years? I take it you won't be able to see the whole circuit but I guess quite a bit more?
