Not a hope. As with the first two films, the teaser pics and build up will probably end up being more exciting than the film itself. Still won't stop me going to the cinema and buying the bluray. :)

Nolan-esque Transformers would have been awesome.
 
LOL WTF do you lot want??...an Oscar winning movie or just a switch your brain off type of flick...personally i just want something that i can sit back and enjoy and not wonder WTF is that or why did that happen blah blah blah. If you want a movei thats goping to win Oscars or make you think then go watch something else:p

So for me the first 2 were superb and job done...i hope the 3rd one is as good as the previous 2...i personally dont care if it has a story or not....i just want to see the transformers back in action.
 
Ah, but that's the thing - as guys who played with the figurines/watched the original series as a kid we too of course still want to see them, but it's clear the quality of the story's been sacrificed. It's almost been treated unfairly.

I don't mind it being average or mundane - that's fine to switch off and watch, but the scripts of the first two were both so bad that it took a lot away from seeing all the CGI. It doesn't make it better that Batman had such a fantastic story in comparison; that comic was 'serviced' much better if that makes any sense.

FFS surely you people know what you are going to get before you see them.

Its a film about transforming alien robots, carrying shed load of guns and that change into cool vehicles and you're bothered about the script?

Sorry but you are just doing it wrong.!!

All I want is a shed load of fighting, guns, explosions & a touch of good vs evil which the first 2 delivered with extra cheese and a large bucket of popcorn.

I for one can't wait for the 3rd and neither can the family.!

And Greenlizardo, hate to say but no-one gives a flying crap about the comics when they are on screen mate, they just want to have 2 hours of fun with some Nacho's, which imo they succeed at.

Ive never read comics and never will & personally thought both Nolan's Batman film were total cack when compared to Burton's which I love as they are just simply more fun to watch. Again thats just personal preference though.

Personal preference all the way, I guess fella we'll agree to disagree about how OUR money should be spent. While goofy films can be fun, surely you see that Nolan's films were just something else altogether? I think the fact that all have come out at the same time doesn't help the Transformers - perhaps, if they were apart people would be less inclined to make the comparison.

Regarding the movie, no doubt it'll be another switch the brain off sit back, relax & enjoy the shinney things & explosions effort like the previous two.
 
The best parts of Transformers 1 was:
A: The Transformers
B: The Military

The scenes at the start were just HOLY CRAP AMAZING right up until after the Scorponok battle. After that it all went bad until the Decepticons showed up at the damn.

In Transformers 2 they ruined the military and the proceeded to put two jar jar Transformers that never even existed and added NOTHING to the movie.
This was to much for me and I have to say TF2 was one of the WORST movies I have seen. The only reason to watch those films is for the Transformers battles. So with the exception of Megan Foxes ass it is all you wait to see when watching them, so WHY WHY WHY add more ridiculous comedy script?

It seems only to save money on effects and I would rather they spent the money on a shorter film with a few nobodies trying to make it big than a big douche, a piece of overrated ass and a bunch of people playing jar jar binks
