official Transformers 3 Thread ere

I know people rip Bay to bits but I LOVE his movies. So much action and they are not too short either, Bad Boys 2 being pretty much my favourite at the moment.

I know lots of people slate the Transformers movies saying they are nothing like the cartoons etc. They are not supposed to be. Its a whole new franchise. If they were like the cartoons I wouldn't of watched them and I presume many of you lot wouldn't either. For one, I love the first two movies and I can honestly say without a doubt the third one looks like it will rock. I shall get my missus to watch that Super-Bowl trailer later. She loves them.

IIRC in an interview with Bay, he states that Sam has been dumped by Fox's character, is slumming it in LA trying to get a job/working a crap job, and the two aren't initially a couple (i.e. we can expect the English rose to be won over by the nerdy American's heroics).

I love the first two films as well, I loved Transformers as a kid, and I love what he has done with it.

Roll on July 1st!!

He knows how to cover up poorly thought out stories and gloss over half acceptable acting with THINGS THAT GO BOOOOOOOMMMMMMM


I grudgingly accept the former in order to fully enjoy the latter :D
 
I'm not feeling it :( I wanted it to be good and the trailer clearly hints that **** has hit the fan but I'm not feeling the movie at all. Maybe it's cause the deathly hallows pt2 trailer was so good.
 
The constant dum dum dum dum dum music in that trailer is soooo irritating. Whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be shot.

Looks the same as the last two films, only it seems that they've upped the anti and made the fight scenes larger. i don't expect it to be massively superior to the previous two films. It will just be one flashy fight/special effects driven scene after another strung together with cheesy and cliche dialogue.

But thats the formula for a Michael Bay movie, i like his films for what they are. I can watch stuff like Armageddon and The Rock again and again without getting bored. He knows how to make a no brains, entertaining and eye popping cinema experience.

New girl seems to be Carly, so I guess this may at least appeal to the original cartoon fans.
