*** Official Ubiquiti Discussion Thread ***

Yeah i said a few posts up about the 5.7 release, i'm holding off updating until they fix the memory leak.

The progress of the beta versions seems quite quick, I thought it was odd to make 5.5.27 the LTS version.

Current running 4.4.12 on the USG gateway, and 3.9.7.7651 on my AC-Pro, AC-Lite access point and US-8-POE switch, and everything seems very stable.

Yeah i'm running the same Firmware just holding off on the Controller. I'm hoping the 4.4.12 firmware will fix my stability issues i've been having the previous betas where my USG would reboot about once a week.

I ssh'ed the controller via PUTTY last night, all seems good so far, keeping an eye on the controller log just in case though.

Ahh i see that it is 5.7.3 that had the memory leak issue no mention of that bug in the notes for 5.7.4, but alas they do mention that it's not possible to update from 5.6.22 or 5.6.23 to 5.7.x for some reason and i'll have to wait until 5.7.5

Only just realised now that they've "notched" up the controller numbers. My "stable" 5.5.X was no longer the "stable" but it was "old stable". Went from 5.5.20 & 5.5.24 to whatever the current 5.6.X build is.
Impressed by the additional info shown now.

Once they get the ability to remap the SFP ports on the Pro's I'll probably roll the dice with a USG as my main router again.

Eugh my cloud key controllers gone on the blink, I have a week old backup so I'm not that bothered, but if I do a factory reset will restoring the backup be ok or do I need to re-adopt everything?

Also in the latest controller website how on earth do I view free space?

Oh ok well thats reassuring, cheers!

Well it would be if I could get the damned thing to hard reset :ffs:.

Eugh so infuriating.

FML will you hard reset!

Hum well I think I hard reset it, it's been stuck on initialising for 15 minutes now.

Have you tried SSH'ing to the cloudkey then the following:

cd /sbin
ubnt-systool reset2defaults

As I have had to used that once.

The thing is, if I kill power to it (ie unplug it), then repower it, I get ~10 seconds of very slow white led blinking, and then it goes into the rapid white led initialisation blinking.

If I press the reset button even to just soft reset it, it doesn't stop the rapid white blinking, ie it looks like it never actually reboots.

FYI, you can use the reset button on the Poe injector. It resets the device, not the injector.

Easier to press than the built in reset button.

I take it you've tried this and it isn't working because of the reset button?
