**Official Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Thread**

Anyone up for some co-op tonight (after 9)? I really want to buy some more weapon upgrades and boosters as I am only level 14 atm.

Ideally looking to complete Goldrush a few times as that looks like it nets a lot of cash. Seeing as the MAG Beta is not live tonight, thought people may play this instead?

The pre-order price should be the same if you look in the basket, it only shows the new price on the list on the left and if you check their forum there's a post in a thread saying that they've just started using a new system whereby you keep the pre-order price if it increases.
 
You are quite right - only looked at the left pre-order section and double checked their pre-order T&Cs which I guess are now out-of-date...

Hmm wasn't going to bother with this as while I enjoyed the first I wasn't blown away but after reading the review i'll buy it on day of release. :D

Hi there,

As some of you may know, the Uncharted 2 public beta has been running for the last couple of weeks, but only for those who pre-ordered the game from certain retailers.

Uncharted 2 among thieves

But no longer! Because you can download it from PlayStation Store at 7pm UK, and play all the way up to October 12th!

The Public Beta contains:

* Four maps – The Ice Cave, The Temple, The Village and The Plaza
* Deathmatch, Elimination, Plunder, Chain Reaction, Co-op Gold Rush and an extract from one of our Co-op objective levels
* The Machinima mode, where you can run around the levels and tweak the camera so you can create movies which you can then watch in Cinema mode
* Cinema mode, where you can watch movies of your online matches, or your performances in Machinima mode, then upload them and send them to your friends (as long as they’ve got the Beta to watch it on of course)
* Twitter option – enter your twitter account details and you’ll automatically tweet status updates of your online progress
* Store items – we’ve included a selection of the Skins, Boosters, and Taunts as well as all the Co-op Weapon Upgrades for you to spend your hard earned ingame cash on

But don’t think that you’ve seen it all if you’ve played the Public Beta. Far from it! We’ve got a more online content in the final game:

* Three more maps (which I’m not going to spoil by naming right now)
* The full set of Co-op objective levels (which I have to say are my favourite online feature)
* Three more game modes – Turf War, King of the Hill and Co-op Survival
* More skins, boosters and taunts in the ingame Store

So once the Beta’s over do not despair, as the full game will be released on October 14th in Europe, October 15th in Australia and New Zealand, and October 16th in the UK and Ireland.

Looking at the reviews and playing the MP, i expect this to be the best PS3 exclusive game this year, may even surpass LBP score. Hopefully it gets a few GOTYs as i think ND deserve all the praise they get. Just over 2 weeks to go, cant wait!!!
 
Cannot wait for this, looks amazing. Finally a reason to back to my PS3! I loved the beta anyway so this was a no brainer for me.
 
Whether or not the multiplayer sticks, however, is arguably a footnote, because at the core of Uncharted 2 is an action-adventure masterpiece whose minor flaws are washed away on a tide of rhythm and spectacle - one that would still be an essential experience even without the option to pull your friends off cliffs and play capture-the-heirloom. For over a dozen pulsating hours, Nathan Drake is among thieves, just as Naughty Dog was when it made the first game by ransacking surrounding genres. By the end of Uncharted 2 though, Drake has found his place in the world, and so has the developer - among giants.

10 out of 10 at eurogamer is very good. Can not wait.
