From what I read, the penalties are supposed to be 30 secs for first disconnect, 90 secs for 2nd and 40k cash deduction for 3rd. And these reset every hour/2 hours.

I played MP deathmatch yesterday and got 2 disconnection errors in 1 hour and got no penalties (The disconnects were presumably from one of the other players and/or host). I see their point, in a 5v5 game, if someone drops out it leaves the remaining players at a disadvantage. If people have flaky connections and know they keep dropping out they should stay away from MP. You can get $40,000 back in less than 20 minutes with ease, so not a big problem for me.

Don't know the exact details as Naughty Dog haven't stated exactly how it works (which causes even more confusion).

I totally agree with a penalty of some sort but punishing people for connection problems isn't fair.They need something to tell between quits and disconnects.
One problem i've had since the update is the game freezing and i've had to actually turn my PS3 off by the power switch.This has happened twice since the update but i've never had it happen before.
 
Surely it's easy to program a block of code that checks to see if a user has clicked on "Exit game" when the server receives a disconnected event.

I bet a lot of people just disconnect their routers, pull out network cable, reset modems etc. Which makes it much harder to see who has genuine errors, based on the symptoms. Happens in all online games when people are losing.

I know its the first game and all (I did search for the thread, but no thread could be found) but I have just started playing the first Uncharted, and I have to say "Oh my!", it seems like I have embarked on something very special indeed.

This should tide me over nicely until xmas day and MW2.

Finished Crushing yesterday, not something that was still any fun the last levels, some bits I must have died 20 times before succeeding, the start fight on Reunion was bad, I had a lot of trouble finding good cover and sometimes one shotgun blast is enough to kill you.

And I have to admit I beat the end by hanging off the structure as I was just sick of dying in the end.

Someone had to hope you all have deleted your bookmark for youtube cannot be doing with everyone humming that again ;)
Will be on tonight from around 6pm , cheers for the games last night we hammered quite a lot of people higher rank thanks to teamwork and the fact we were all listening to diana ross :D

Oh, I got starried for a non-sweary. Guess I can understand it - basically was saying she rocks :)

And now I just have to hope that nobody I know in real life ever sees this post!
