Read through this thread, you'll see other peoples results are lower then yours and mine (1047) using SB setups.

I'd sooner have a SB setup and a lower Heaven score though :)

Hell of a score to be fair from a dual core?

It just shows how CPU independent (as in not reliant on) this benchmark is. Of course, there is a certain point BELOW which the CPU will become a bottleneck since it won't be fast enough to allow the graphics card to operate a full speed.

Usually for Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quads, and everything else released after that, they will not be bottlenecks if they're overclocked to around 3.2Ghz and above. Run them at stock clocks (2.4Ghz to 2.83Ghz) and the benchmarck scores will suffer.

gtx480-750-3800-x4965-3910.jpg

AMD X4 965 @ 3.91GHz
GTX480 @ 750/3800

looks about right...although minimum is rather low.

Try letting the demo run for about a minute before you click the benchmark button. Some people think it might allow the program time to fully finish loading textures etc so it won't slow down whilst benchmarking, and thus no minimum FPS hit.

any good??

i think my cpu is bottlenecking abit??

Number 1 on the ATI list is...

1. szsharpen (6970 Xfire) - 3303

...so I would have thought your 6990 + 6950 would be closer than what you're currently getting. Any chance you could run your cards at the same speed he ran them at (not sure where in thread so you'll have to dig) to see if you can pull ahead?

The speed you have your CPU at shouldn't be a bottle neck. Reduce it to 3.7-3.8 and see how that fairs.

My scores

i got a lot better score when i put physx to AUTO in nvidia CP
Physx set to cpu gave a score of 1700+
Also my gigabyte SOC 480 (820core,1641shader,1900ram @1025v) hit 85c with this test, whilest my pixelview 480 (overclocked to 850,1700,1900 @1100v) hit 65c give or take

Sos bout the BIG pic i forgot to resize it ooops

szsharpen as 6990 + 6970 @ 1000/1405...

so my result seems about right for stock 880/1250.

seems like 11.4 rc2 drivers give lower fps in heaven than 11.4 preview drivers.

Ran test 3 times and picked the middle one.

Sapphire 6950 Overclocked 24/7 stable @ 1.1v 875/1370 with MSI Afterburner 2.1.

Using ATI Catalyst 11.4.

My previous score at stock was 894.

Hey guys, is this version of heaven harder in the system that 2.0 ive noticed my performance isnt what it was a few months ago, should an overclocked 6970 be hitting more than like 30fps average? Is it worth crossfiring another 6970? Would it help fps much?
rest of spec in sig.
