I don't see how you got those clocks so high. Have the same card, and just thrashed the pants out of it. Temps were 60C, and 1.0GHz was the breaking point.

My power delivery is good, an 850W BeQuiet. The card should be decent, Sapphire reference. Does a 20C lower temp let you go that much higher with clocks? I guess i'll just have to settle with the second best single 6950 score :)
 
Will not be doing it again :) Plus the water blocks were just a loan from a mate.

Dont want to kill them want sell them and get a 6990

This was back on stock air. Just one 6950 (shaders unlocked)

You're welcome to your 2nd i'm happy with my Bronze. Temps aren't unmanageable at the clocks i'm running, the card just ****s a brick if I take it further. It will run the benchmark upto 1040MHz then falls over on the 24th pass.

I'd be careful atm with the ashcloud over northern Britain and strong gales. I came back today to be greeted by dust/ash all over my pristine desk and expensive equipment *grrrr* - good job my rig is under the desk. Can't oc until ash passes over.

Well my car was covered in ash here in Newcastle Monday (ash is mainly over East side of Britain) when the gales over Scotland were 100mph (65mph here) was ok yesterday/today. Same thing happened last time the Icelandic Volcano Eyjafjallajokull but ash lasted longer because of the finer particles. I really need to buy a mosquito net over the open window to stop anything else coming in as I need my aircon unit's hose to stick through an open window when using rig - don't fancy drilling a big hole in wall for that!
 
my 570 is making a buzzing sound and coil whine now, it's never been above 750mhz

this is a replacement for the first one that died, i have a strong suspicion i was sent a "b" grade as a replacement because not all the adapters were in the box
 
New entry, ta for reminding me i was getting thrashed Mr w3bbo sah it really spurred me on, not brave enough to chance it with 590's though too pricey ;):)
Gtx570 tri-sli for some reason i get mixed results with later drivers plus they seem to interfere with crunching so am still using 266.58 :confused:
