Make a toon, share the PW and promote him to commander. I have no idea how sh works but I'm pretty sure our deputy was upgrading the facilities.

I would ensure people have the right tanks. We're doing t6 atm and 95% of teams camp in a0 with a selection of heavies. It's not much fun tbh. I suppose they can't gain map control but trying to kill 7 tanks hiding in a hole is pretty tiresome.
 
I've pretty much given up and haven't played in ages. It was mostly no fun solo pubbing and hardly anyone would ever platoon up or at least were already in a platoon. Billy no mates :(

Would be interested in playing together with more people in these strongholds (although I don't fully understand what they are), I'm kinda unreliable time wise but will be around at some point. Was a point where it seemed no one in the clan wanted to platoon but we have a few playing together quite a lot of the time now, which has made the game a lot more fun for me!

Translation: My stats were awful but now I've got OCUK members to carry me to victory and winning matches makes the game more enjoyable

He still pops on now and then but not as often as he would like. He did say that he would be happy to step back and make me commander if we wanted a more 'active' stronghold presence. But that would depend on whether you lot were happy with the idea. We'd obviously have to make DataMonkey some kind of honoury role if one exists.

I'm happy to do it. I don't play WoT as often as I did as I found that as my skill level increased I became so aware of quite how idiotic most of the players in pub matches are. But some decent stronghold games where people are trying to co-operate might be just the ticket.... I do, of course, still pop in here daily.

So any comments ?

Sounds good yeah. If you need some help I'll give you a hand or if you would rather give me the Commander role I'll take it. :)

With platoons, I rarely respond to spammed invites, talk to me personally in game and I'm more likely to join... ;)

Sorry didnt get a look in last night, at work now and will promote hodders to commander now, on lunch :)

Hodders is now Clan Commander, i would like to keep a position in the clan even as a member if thats ok. I will be back on and playing when RL permits.

Thanks guys and i look forward to seeing what Strongholds brings to the OcUK Clan.

Strongholds can be fun, reminds me a lot of the old company battles we used to play.
Great idea letting someone else be commander and hodders or linktoinsanity would be perfect for the job.
I am not in ocuk clan anymore, so if you meet a Dingers team in battle, I might be on the enemy team :D

A huge thanks to DataMonkey - Mr. Monkey sir, if you ever want to re-assign the role, just let me know and I'll make any changes you want. It is still your clan.

I'm having a look at strongholds now and I'll try to get things moving asap.
 
Ok,I have started construction of the tankodrome building that will give us all extra XP after battles. The building will take 24 hours to finish at which point anybody can allocate themselves to the garrison for that building by using the 'stronghold' tab in the game client.

Now my understanding is that the building receives rewards when the people in its garrison skirmish, that helps the building level up and provide better benefits.

The buildings produce 'reserves' that can be used to provide these benefits for a certain period of time. Think 'power ups'. The clan X.O.s can use reserves as and when they want.

We'll see how this works out, but I would suggest that we agree on times when reserves will be used that will allow the most people to benefit. Weekend evenings rather than mid-week day times for example. But we can see how this all pans out over time.

At the moment the X.O.s are:

To set up a skirmish and clan member can set up a skirmish. To do this you select the stronghold tab and click on skirmishes in the bottom left. This lets you form a detachment in the same way you form a platoon. So you invite players and assign them.

So lets see if we can get this going and get a few more players online and playing.

Once again a big thanks to dataMonkey for setting this all up in teh 1st place some 4 odd years ago !

Pleasure fella,

Happy its gone to someone with lots of enthusiasm for the game.

With a two year old in the house my gaming times is Euro Truck Sim 2 or Farming Simulator 2015 depending if he wants trucks or tractors at that moment in time lol.

But i will be back :) You are more than welcome to keep ownership though fella. All i ask is that i remain in the clan :D The founding father so to speak lol
 
I actually can do things in Strongholds now, thanks for sorting all that for us Datamonkey, and of course you can remain in the clan. Hodders has quite rightly left you as an Executive Office.
 
Well I'm glad the personal missions went through extensive QA and testing.

Did a couple of the missions last night without even trying. Im not really bothered about them but I appreciate the extra credit income they give but I'm not going to break my playstyle trying to fulfill them.
