** Official World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Thread **

James, if you don't enjoy the game anymore - quit, but there is no reason to go on here and whine and say you're quitting, we heard (or read) the first time, there is no need to go on and on about it, nor do others have to pressure you into trying/playing it again.

And darkangel, cata is worth a months sub, it did give the game a bit of freshness, and levelling in old world has never been so fun.

Thanks for that pearl of wisdom but the last time I checked, I was allowed to express my opinion on a public forum.

Hey James

If you have just quit, make sure you find a hobby (away from computers) or another type of game to get stuck into, because.... the gap left is very large and difficult to fill...

Lol R34P3R, you do realise I played the game for years before cata came out right and no, rather just quit. The content I've seen so far from cata is duller than dishwater and the community on the game has gone massively downhill in terms of helping each other out, especially when compared to vanilla and tbc.

I have to agree with James with regards to the content getting no better. It great for a new player as there is so much and it's all new to them. But after playing wow for years, I found cata really dull also.

And the community at the moment, is one of the worst out there in my opinion.

The exact reason I stopped playing, it's new content and everything looks new and shiny but it's essentially just the same **** different model :\ + The community is absolutely terrible it's either complete idiots or complete idiots that think they are a boss, I'd say around 5% of the player base are generally skilled it's slightly cringe worthy.

Almost reached 85 on my first character! Just changed my spec from ret to Prot on my paladin and enjoying it quite a lot. Any tips for holding aggro on AOE pulls in dungeons? Too often hunters or mages manage to pull mobs that I have only hit a few times with hammer of the righteous.

Also, I've reached honored with my guild rep, and I'm looking for another rep to grind in cata dungeons. Anyone have any recommendations for a good one for a Prot paladin?

I use hammer of the righteous on CD, rotating Avengers shield, holy wrath, consecration etc. in between. However, some DPS can still pull. Is it there high dos or are they really too stupid to rotate dos between targets or lay off to prevent getting too much threat?

It's likely your group are just being crap, unfortunately :( if it's that bad you're better off just marking mobs for a kill order. But people will still pull and die :p

Guys I need some good macros for an Arcane Mage

I had one but i've lost it as i've just logged onto and old character but the macro seems to have gone missing.

I had some quality Arcane Power macro specifically for bosses.. also included Mirror Image.

Does anyone know what i'm talking about? :p

Thanks, good to know I'm doing nothing completely wrong. We were doing Vortex Pinnacle earlier and this hunter would pull everything. Not only that, but he would pull, change target and pull another, completely ignorant of who I was attacking or had the most threat. We were wiping on trash due to having a terrible healer too. God that was an expensive repair bill, about 20 gold as I died so much! :P
