Well I've been using my time offshore to prepare. It's amazing how quickly things come flooding back. WOW Insider and Icy-Veins have been excellent sources of information. Most of the addons I used to use still exist so I've got my list ready.
Server wise I had thought about rolling on one of the new 'mentor' servers as listed here;
Guild Mentoring Program
But after some research and comments posted recently I'll be looking at 'Ragnaros' first. Any of the regulars on there recommend a 'old timer' friendly guild
Only question I have would be regarding 'Macros'. My memory tells me I used to use them. Are they still as widely used or are they not really a requirement anymore?
It's funny that I find myself drawn back to WoW, having spent 6 months on SWTOR this year, then GW2, neither have really drawn me in. Time will tell if my Wow return is a long one.

Tried it once, bodged in "stage 1" and we couldn't get to 2. About to run it again in a Guild group.
e: Just did it fine with the Guild run, got some fireworks in my spoils. Sort of fun while it lasted, will do it a couple more times.

What do you mean by that?
It seems everyone and their dog is streaming WoW in the run up to the launch of MoP. I dont blame them just seems a bandwagon, esp as now i've seen 90% of the content i wont be bothering
So this Theramore scenario is their pre-expansion launch event then? A scenario that is also available at level 90?
I thought the WoW Dev team had fallen as far as they could but looks like I was wrong, I pity those still on the blizzard money train if they can't even be bothered to do a launch event.
Don't really see the point in complaining about that, if you were getting 1k on GW2 and thought even for a second you would get 8k you would change to WoW right? especially if you're going to make money from it, he even said he is bored of GW2 so he wanted to try WoW, why does that need to mean that he is
Just because he streams a different game? Seems a pointless thing to complain over tbh :/

Blizzard hates me, was gonna get a SoR and come back but my account is 19 days over the limit even though I stopped played a month before the date 
by the looks of wow i dont think i will be resubbing. i was really looking foward to this expansion and i have had ago of the changes and i dont like it. i will give it ago se if my mind changes but this could be the end of wow for me which is a shame.

I thought the scenario was quite good fun, i did it with myself elemental shaman as dps and 2 paladins 1 holy 1 ret. Was easy, but its not meant to be hard its meant to be something quick and fun you can do with your mates and not require a tank and healer etc.
You get 168 Valor for completing it and a chance of a decent quality item (384 i think they are), I did it with 2 of my mates a second time all 3 of us dps. Had a good laugh on skype and it passed the time. When theirs 5-10 of these I can see a group of friends farming them for valor while having a laugh on comms etc.
Their not meant to be hard like.
That being said, I did agree their should have been some story first as to why the zeplin was suddenly their and they are bombing theramore, my first thought was why not drop that on Stormwind, it would have reduced most of Stormwind to rubble.

Played the Theramore scenario last night a couple of times. I thought it was pretty good. Not really much of a challange, but a nice little addition to the game.
I just recently read the Tides of War novel, which focuses on the events surrounding the Theramore attack by the horde and the focusing iris. The horde pitched a whole invasion battle prior to the bomb, which the alliance repelled. I was surprised the scenario started right away with the bomb dropping.
