Just to point out for anyone new to the game, sharing accounts will more than likely get your account banned in the future anyway as it looks reaaaally dodgy to blizzard employee's when your IP address keeps switching towns and countries in timeframes which simply don't allow for travel... :P

No one needs a authenticator you just need to know how to not get keylogged i.e common sense
 
Out of interest, has anyone's authenticator got lost/stolen/stopped working? Just curious how well Blizz would handle such an eventuality. I have an old key fob authenticator that I worry about losing.

They are pretty good with it actually. My friend had the iPhone authenticator and on Saturday had his Phone replaced by Apple at the store. He totally forgot about having the Authenticator on there and headed home.

After restoring his old backup to the new phone his Authenticator wouldn't let him in (Sunday by now) so he called Blizzard at around 4PM on Sunday, they requested he email a photo of some ID to prove he is the account owner, so he sent a pic of his drivers licence via email and it was all sorted ready for raid time at 7PM

Had this as well - upgraded to an iPhone 4, forgot about the authenticator. Had to phone in and then email a scan of my ID. Total process took a bit over an hour. If you get in early on telephone support, you can avoid the queues.

I thought they removed that and you can only link to one account now? :)

Still, they are great things to have. Not perfect but it takes a hell of a lot of effort to get around it, so combined with common sense it makes your account pretty much as safe as possible.

Bit of a pain when you crash out mid fight and need to log back in quick though :(

Enjoying Cataclysm.

Enjoying healing and DPS with my priest. Healing is especially challenging in heroics. Priest DPS is ok (mind sear is terrible though, but it's very rarely used anyway). Not done any raids yet, slowly picking up some heroic gear but I'm in no rush, I like to smell the roses along the way. :)

Also got my rogue to 85, it's not ready for heroics yet but I'm slowly getting to grips with damage avoidance for melée DPS.

PS. For anybody who hasn't got an authenticator on their account... get one, for crying out loud. :p

Twilight Highlands or Uldum. Elementium is fetching 80-90g/stack on Defias Brotherhood and these are the two best zones to mine it in. Tol Barad is good, but you can't fly and it's small enough to be crawling with the opposite faction all the time, a problem if you're on a PvP server. Haven't looked at pyrium in the AH, but I imagine that'll sell for a fair bit if you find any - probably more useful to smelt it before selling, though.
 
Flasks are at ridiculous prices at the moment. Guess I'm going to have to level my alts Alchemy. What's the best place to herb?
 
Been leveling a goblin mage as well I got sick an tierd of doing dailys and farming on my main. Its not like I really need the gold and the only loot I need is from raids.

Must say been loving the raiding scene so far. Its quite refreshing to have some bosses that are a bit challanging :)

Going back to my mage though, really am loving it so far. Feels odd nuking things from range (this is my first ever ranged class :p) Leveling does feel stupidly quick. Mind due I have 6 heirlooms on him (cape/shoulders/chest/staff/2 trinkets) Plus the fast track buff from guild = 10%. I went from level 1 to 38 in one day :p and that was a mixture of BGs dungeon runs and questing :D

This. Twilight highlands especially.

Smelted obsidian still getting me around 260g a stack elementiun even more. Selling all volatiles around 20g each as well. I don't play enough to make mega money but I made 2k in a day :)

Errr, the shadowpriest is doing something wrong if his dps is low and mana is an issue. At the moment we are one of the top dps, and we have so many mana cooldowns its not even funny (fiend, dark evangalism, SW:D)

Shadowpriest aoe is getting buffed yeah (mind sear doing ~15% more apparently) and our single target is a little also, mind blast being increased, not that I think it particularly needed it!

And I'm far from bored, still raiding so that may be part of it, but thats only 2 days a week (gone all casual!) but in spare time I enjoy doin dailies, levelling alts, bit of auction house pvp, proper pvp, heroics, the list goes on! I just enjoy playing the game, and thats what it comes down to at the end of the day. If you enjoy it, play. If you don't, take a break or find another game for a while!
