I did read the thread jack ass.

you CAN enroll for the beta. Just no information on release or how it will work yet. Check the battle net website properly before you flame me for casually mentioning i want in.

You just cant enroll for this type of beta access.

so get off your high horse.

Plus the WoTLK beta was prior to full battle.net intergration (ie you must use battle.net to sign in), so I assume they will not release keys and just apply it to the battle.net account just like the Alpha.

Technically it's in alpha ATM and you can't enrol for that. :p

And technically I did say "enroll for the beta, Just no information on release or how it will work yet"

I never said i want in on the alpha beta, just the beta.

Never mind regardless of how it was perceived you can still enroll for the beta on battle net, which is what i am going to be doing.
 
i remember the first beta for tbc and they setup some nerd server and the first sad unemployed wasters that got to 50 got beta access! what a joke that was!

I know this will be leaked and set up on a private server but i dont think i will bother trying it this time round, i will just wait for it to be released.

Im just hoping they optimise this game a little better, tis annoying getting my fps ra*ed
in city's with eyefinity :p

Hope i get a beta invite, didnt get a wotlk one, played since the beginining too, pff

I wonder if its the Alpha build thats just the landscape with no npcs or objects.

If so, then it crashes if you attempt to enter the world with Goblins or Worgens and any of the new class combo types.

Thats the client + a sandbox emulated server.

The real alpha has everything (well thats done yet..) , so all NPCs, quests etc work.. or should work, its an alpha!

FRom what I understand - having not tried yet. You cannot transfer live toons to the Alpha yet, only start a new character. I will know more when I get home :)

You can :) log into your battle.net account and check the cataclysm beta game account, on the right hand side you can do a character copy, theres only 1 realm for EU though, so you cant really go wrong.

Excellent just done this :)

And initially I got a worgen to lvl 6, seems good so far. Shame that no UI mod work though

Ah christ done remind me about the UI.. i copied my resto druid over and healing is just.. well.. baaaad with zero addons. Even a couple mouse over macros dont help when you're used to clique :(

lvl 7 worgen mage atm, and loving it :)
