** Official WoW Catalysm Alpha/Beta Thread **

30 minutes was probably too long to be fair.

Well that's just a case of not liking change. The game is very different now for some classes.

Have you learnt about reforging at all and increasing your mastery rating with unneeded hit?

Sometimes you have to give change more than 30 minutes to get a serious outcome. I didn't like the change in SWG, but rather than being cold towards it, i gave it a chance and adapted to it.

30 Mins.... I guess it went something like this

Log on, Spec cookie cutter build from the internet, 10 mins on target dummies, can't get over 10k, ffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu, cancel

Yes?

So what's happening with spell power now? I notice that some of my pieces of equipment no longer have their spell power mods, but others do. Is spell power entirely governed by intellect?

Started playing again after a 6 months break. loving atm leveled my boomkin from 72 to 80 and now gearing him up a bit. loving the eclipse change. i am really looking forward to cataclysm. also got epic flying and the horsemans mount last night :D

Destro lock is fun but utterly OP atm, Running 10 mans and putting out between 6-8k single target in naxx level gear is fun.

Might have to to gear my shaman up a bit and have a go at elemental since it's quite a bit more fun than it previously was apparently.

Really? Care to ellaborate? Ive been toying with the idea of returning to see whats changed, havnt played since around january (quit a few times and always gave into the itch), was really bored by the time a quit this time to the point that logging in each day was to simply craft stuff and make money, when I actually had something to do then I barely ever had over 1k gold but by the end 40k and throwing bits away on anything to keep me occupied, then realised and stopped.

Whenever ive quit before, ive gone back with stuff changed and found new things to do and aim for and have enjoyed it more than ever each time. Having reservations this time. Anything fun for a rogue, druid or healer priest?

The idea behind Cata intrigues me but im still on the fence as each time it seems like 'been there done that'.

i simply read abotu the changes and on paper they really looked quite interesting and similar to the vanilla style of warcraft that i used to knwo many years ago and i admit, do wear some tinted shades for
but the game is just a bit weird to me now, crazy talent setups where you can spec into another tree until youve spent all 31 points in one, and then youre speccing garbage talents just to get there, like deep down in the tank spec for paladins, theres bits for self healing, it doesnt quite fit right imho.
PVP is a joke, if anyones got a dormant account with a 80, decently geared mage then resub asap. any caster for that matter really.
i logged in a few times during my few days back and thought, whats the point of being logged in so i emo quit if you want to call it that :D
(i was on a 2 month break though, but like i said i really was interested in the talents and spell setup etc, but it doesnt quite suit me anymore.

My account got hacked a few months back and I'm currently waiting for blizz to sort it out.
Looking through the talent trees there are a few interesting changes. I'm re-subbing, and a tank at heart, so how are prot warriors and prot paladins? Feral druids? Are DKs actually any good now?
tl;dr best tanking class

I've enjoyed playing the Worgen stater area, but have not been able to get very far as there are a number of quest bugs that prevent you from advancing. It's annoying, but this is a beta. So in the mean time I have been playing a human rogue. Nice to see they have changed the Northshire starting area, rest of Elwynn Forest seems to be the same as before.

Some people are finding Warrior with the blood tree fun to play, i've gone the protective way as i find with enough rage [which the protective tree enhances] your dps is good enough.
