** Official WoW Catalysm Alpha/Beta Thread **

My usual addons:

Auctioneer
Deadly Bosses Mod
Omen
Recount
Atlas loot
Gatherer

Most rfeatures of some of them seem somewhat broken at the moment :(

Had to turn off most and also playing about with tankwarnings but cant get it to do what I want.

What I do need however is an easy way to remove all addons, can I just delete my interface folder and let wow rebuild it or would id redownload the entire thing again?

Also looking for something addon wise for my DK so I can easily see my runes and CDs

Yes if you delete your interface folder WoW will indeed rebuild it with just the default addons by Blizzard.

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/magicrunes.aspx is one of the more popular rune addons
 
Can more people post their interface as I'm interested to see what layout people have. I tried LUI x3 but it was a bit frustrating to edit tbh.

If your doing a proper clean you should run the tools > addons settings cleaner in the curse client before you start to install any new addons. Unless you want some of your old setups in there and want to reinstall the addons themselves :)

Personally I have a habit of going to the website from the curse client then clicking the Development Site link to make sure Curse is running the latest version. Its saved me a lot of hassle in the past if they have fallen behind.
 
These two improve my enjoyment of the game more than others, probably because the blizzard default are just really bad in comparison :p

Can I install the curse client and then have that clear/remove all my current addons?

Or would I be ok to nuke the interface folder, restart wowo let it rebuild and then install curse client?

My main char atm has changed to my DK and the recent changes to hunter have made some of my old macros/addon setups redundant.

Wanting to clean up, get a decent rune display and clear a little clutter.

Nuke interface, start wow and let it rebuild. Logout, run the cleaner and install as normal :)

If in doubt make a backup rar of your WTF folder incase you suddenly realise something is missing. Now if only they'll get round to fixing Sexymap someday.

I've been tweaking my UI to clean it up, still a work in progress but it's getting there

Dominos hahaha I haven't used that in ages, move onto Bartender4 as someone else said.

just a few of the essential mods i use for raiding ect

ive come back to wow after a 7 month break, i just cant enjoy it, i think the only way im gonna get back into it, is by leveling another character from scratch. I like the look of night elf mages, or a troll druid, the troll tree form looks really good.

edit: lol, that's my priest alt on your screenshot (roxxeh).

I'm liking your UI from a tank perspective. Very clear and easy to see important things, but don't you find the bottom part of your screen a little too big? It extends so high into your actual viewable area. You could perhaps move 1 bar somewhere else and bring everything "down" a notch.

Looks extremely similar to my UI, keeping it simple. My personal preference is to have hp values on the threat plates. I'll move my unit frames more central when I can be bothered as it broke post patch for me.

As for removing the dragons, Skinner does the same whilst giveing the interface a slick black look on character pane, guild pane etc.

Available at lv30, too. I remember the grief of trying to save on my 1st char, never did make it - went to Outland and spent my cash on flying instead. As it is, offspec is annoying me - I'm compelled to drag around 5 or 6 extra bits of kit to be a better tank and every time I switch specs (which I have to do to spend talents in offspec, for some goober reason) my mana's reduced to zero.
