Xiaomi look well set to steal the "Flagship Killer" title from OnePlus with this keenly priced phone!

£315 = 6GB RAM / 64GB ROM
£350 = 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM
£390 = 6GB RAM / 256GB ROM
£445 = 8GB RAM / 128GB ROM (Explorer Edition)

6.28" AMOLED screen (with a notch)
Snapdragon 845
Android 8.1
Dual GPS
12 MP (f/1.8, 1.4µm, 4-axis OIS, dual-pixel PDAF) + 12 MP (f/2.4), 2x optical zoom, dual pixel phase detection autofocus, LED flash
No SD slot
No 3.5mm jack
No QI charging

Looks like a total iPhone X clone, but starting at a 3rd of the price.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of notches, so I went with the Mi Mix 2S instead, but this is a cracking phone for the price (I'm salty about the AMOLED tbh).

I think they'll be able to sell other phones via 3 but not this one outside of China officially, as Apple with probably come down hard on them given the design.

As in the other thread, still swaying towards the Mi Mix 2s for the wireless charging. Mainly as it saves most wear on the USB-C connector. Also easy to just throw it onto the charging pad.

But I like the fingerprint reader in screen on the special edition version and the pricing looks good.

Choices choices.

Apparently the translucent back is a sticker.

Any way other than geekbuying, is anyone else selling this?
Xiaomi have partnered stores on Ali Express. A few of which do DHL delivery with taxes paid, so you don't get hit with additional import duty when it arrives. I've bought a few phones there and the small premium for express delivery and tracking are worth it for my peace of mind, but may not be for everyone.

Can you link me to some of the ones you used please?

I've bought from a few; this store ( https://thegeeks.aliexpress.com/store/1820487 ) has an EU branch, I bought a Ulefone from them a while ago.

I bought a Redmi Note 4 from here ( https://xiaomiui.aliexpress.com/store/1986585 ) , used normal shipping that time and had no problems.

This is a big Xiaomi store ( https://xiaomimi.aliexpress.com/store/2800188 ) , the one my friend used to get the DHL shipping. He got his phone within a week.

Fee sellers on aliexpress have it but they have 0 star rating
Don't buy early if you can help it. Demand is always high to begin with but tails quickly, like in 2 to 3 months where the price will drop 10 to 20 percent, going by what I've seen with the Note 4, 5 and Mi Max 2. The early ones are usually shipped with Chinese ROMs loaded with apps specific to China like some streaming, e reading and messaging stuff.

The proper international ones have little bloat ware. Some unscrupulous sellers may use the Chinese ROM, mess with the language and debloat it to pass it off as an international edition so be careful.
