Well, I decided to get all 3 Halo games. But somehow I managed to balls up and order the PC version of Halo 1 :(

I was kind of looking forward to playing this series on the 360 as its always been one of the big games for xbox consoles.

I could wait and get another copy for the console, but was so looking forward to starting this weekend :(

Guess I just wanted to have a moan....

Do I wait, or jsut get on with it on the pc?

I take it you've not played Halo1?

Well put it this way chap, I have Halo 1, 2 and 3 in my cupboard, I've not played Halo 3 yet, And i've had it in there about 3 months?

Reason being, I want to finish 1 and 2 before hand, As Halo 2 ties into the story of 3, and Halo 1 is a good refresher considering i've not played it for a while.

I honestly think it's a good idea to play through the whole series, To see the story unfold and also to see how the game grows.

Halo 1 has the best story of the lot. I'd just send Halo PC back and download Halo from the Marketplace so you can play it today. It's about 2.8GB.

I kinda have to agree. Played Halo 2 and thought wtf is everyone raving about. I played it for a couple of hours to give it a chance and never played it again.

Well, I am kind of prepared to give it a try. Maybe I will like em, maybe I won't....

So roughly how long are the single player campaigns on each of the games?

I think halo is great, i used to hold it in very high esteem but then i started to enjoy the more realistic fps shooters much more... i couldn't go back now i'm a complete COD4 convert :D

(they are good tho, definitely worth a once through on each...)

Why not just play it? Today's gaming rigs should make it look miles better than the Xbox version with higher resolutions and the added bonus of mouse/keyboard control

Well, I only have a 7900gs currently... got rid of all my high-end stuff cause wanted to get away from pc gaming. It's still enough to max the game out at 1680 x 1050 though, I think.

Its just that I am totall sick of sitting on the pc for gaming.

So, can anyone tell me more or less how long the campaigns are on normal difficulties for each of the games?

Id say pc multiplayer is a big bonus. Single player games are ver generic compared to multiplayer, but they are a good way to tell stories.

And ive seen lots of mods and maps for pc version.

Well, not particularly interested in the MP side of things.

If I enjoy 1 enough, then will move on to 2. But if I am not really that into them by the end of 1 or 2, will just sell them all - my copy of 3 is still sealed so should still get a good price in comparison to what I paid for it.

Halo 1 PC > Halo 1 XBOX
Fact.

Fact how?
Fact is that the PC version won less awards, that it was less well recieved and that it required a PC specification well above what should have been needed to play it.

You appear to have confused the word 'Fact' with 'Fiction'.
