Oh no! Forced to game on my pc again...

Like I said earlier, single player halo offers nothing new but for multiplayer, halo 3 on the 360 is as good as online gaming on a console currently gets.

Roachy... I just realised why you never accept my invite, I keep trying to add you as "RoachycaL" >_<

Halo 2 multiplayer beat the crap out of Halo 3's IMO. I was discussing it with a mate yesterday when we were playing... I came up with a list of about 20 thing which I preferred in Halo 2's multiplayer

Lol @ That comment :p I do actually own the gamertag RoachycaL too - Oh and dude if you start spamming me with invites... well just don't :)

I LOVED Halo 2 multiplayer, but the community is gone now and I joined it far too late (a year before halo 3 came out?). Shame, but I was heavily into tournament smash bros play when halo 2 took off.

Playing halo 2 with cadman, alrik, krono, miss k and bllack wolf rocked though, but most of them have given up on it now :(

Edit: I see you played CoD2 today, did the game get delivered today? Mind leaving feedback if so :)

Halo 3's multiplayer just isn't a good :(

Luckily I bought my original xbox a few weeks after Halo 2's release so Ive seen all the action there is to see in matchmaking. It really was unbeatable. I'm dying to type this list down but I will restrain myself for now!

I really do think Halo 2 is the best of the three - even though 99.9% of people will say the other two are better. I know it was glitchy and rushed but the multiplayer certainly felt just... perfect. I really really preferred the campaign too, playing as the covenant was awesome and I loved going through it again and seeing stuff I didn't seen before or linking it in to the story from the first game and even the books!

And shockingly enough, the cinematics wernt corney! Halo 3's are just god-awful

And to the people saying the PC graphics are far superior to the xbox version of Halo 1? Utter BS - graphics are visibly better on the Xbox version.
Sorry to say that's BS, i've played the xbox version and now going through the PC version (about half way now). And the PC version take the xbox version out to the kerb and beats it to a bloody plup. It's so far better it's unreal. Just try it. tweak it to run 1920x1200 and see it for youself.

But i will repeat, for a PC FPS it's very very avarage. Unreal was doing the same thing a couple of years eariler.

Catch me on live if you wanna play some halo 2, I suck at H2 though >_<

So how are the graphics better exactly? Try looking at the teleporters on the xbox version compared to the PC version. Sorry but the xbox graphics are way better full stop.

If your talking lighting effects they are identical. It's the engine limitation that your seeing when the resolutions are pumped so high. It's starting to look dated now. With the high resolutions i can see the bump map effects (such as the oceans) so much more clearly now and see enemies from a greater distance which helps with the sniping the distance rendering is much greater than the xbox

Oh my Lord... I could never recommend this game to anyone. Based solely on the last couple of minutes where they force you to use the frigging warthog to coplete a timed run.... and then make you start again right from the biginning when you don't make it!

With only a few minutes left in the game I am tempted to leave it where it is, cause I HATE the frigging handling ont he warthogs....

Finished! I'm finished! Thank God!

While there were some good moments... it kind of felt like a chore. Don't know why I felt so determined to finish it.

Does it get better in two and three? Is the level design a little more imaginitive and varied, or is it still the same copy/paste stuff? Are the enemies and weapons a little more varied?

I much prefered Halo on the Xbox. It was too easy on the pc and just lacked the balance that made it work so well. It's the differnce between one of my fave fps and a rather average 7/10.

Play 2 and three in 2 player coop on legendary. It's a fantastic experience. If you played Halo 1 on normal then no wonder you found it crap.

Halo is terribly dull on normal. It doesn't matter what weapons you use and you can pretty much run forward with your trigger finger pressed down. You won't apreciate how varied the weapons and encounters can be at all - you might as well be playing Doom or Quake.

Well, so far I am really enjoying 2. I am finding it fun, where I found 1 to be a chore.

The story is definitely put together better so far (up to chapter 4), and all-round its just a better experience.

Guess I might get to take 3 out its wrapper after all :)

I was forced to give it up simply because nobody played it anymore and it was taking me 20 mins everytime to get a single game of Team Slayer going.

I must be in that 0.1% then since I 100% agree with you, I still go through it atleast once a month for a quick dick around on some of my favourite levels.

Halo 3 doesnt have the same feel as you say, one thing that I think totally messed up the Multi-player was bringing back the assault rifle as the starting weapon. It is way too powerful and is way too easy to get a kill with, but on bigger maps like sandtrap its useless.

Where as the BR would be perfect because it is more balanced and is useful in any situation, plus it isnt as simple as run>spray>hit and you're dead. The AR ruined Halo 3 for me since it dumbed it right down so even noobs like Krono can get kills (but that still didnt happen ;))

I really really preferred the campaign too, playing as the covenant was awesome and I loved going through it again and seeing stuff I didn't seen before or linking it in to the story from the first game and even the books!

Again I agree. The one thing I really hated about Halo 3's campaign is that they block off almost everything so you're not allowed to explore or find any hidden areas etc. For example in Halo 2 I could get a Banshee, Ghost or even the Spectre into the final area where you fight Tartarus, it was just stupid stuff like that I used to spend hours doing and having lots of fun trying to do it.

Nothing was as fun as 4vs4 Team Slayer on Lockout with BR starts, god I miss those days :( (and no Blackout is still no replacement for Lockout since it will not play the same, guaranteed)
