Oh no...

Like someone else said, especially around the dreaded new years or clocks back/forward I always set 2 alarms, my phone and my bed side alarm clock, I would hate to relive the epic fail on Apples part when everyones alarm failed on their phone

I have 3 alarms. Normal battery powered clock that goes off at 6.30. Mains powered radio that goes off at 7. And a 10 week old puppy that goes off at 6.45, desperate for a wazz.

The puppy is the ultimate alarm clock. This morning I left him a few minutes late so he refused to come out of his crate and, when I eventually wrestled him out, he wazzed all down my front. Won't oversleep again...

Also, you should have jumped out of bed like a sith!

(I feel an old boy now as nobody seems to get these references anymore)

This, entirely this.

"It's not my fault my alarm didn't work boo hoo".

I've got an exam today, if my calculator doesn't work and I have no back up, it's my own fault. The op needs a second alarm if iphones are prone to not working.

Out of curiosity, if your second calculator breaks, then is it still down to you?

The wording is a bit ambiguous. It is alright though this thread has taken on a life of its own and turned into apple bashing and a general "the youth of today are so lazy" thread. :p

Ah yes, the joys of GD. The crazy '28' year old wench will probably get a mention soon as well.

Oh didn't you hear. She was supposed to come and wake him as well but had already been banned from the OP's house for her choice of clothing and so couldn't get in to wake him.

She is quite resourceful though and tried calling him but since his phone was already on the fritz this attempt didn't work either, so as a final attempt she tracked Shayper down and found him outside a bar and asked if he was Shayper from OCuK and was about to ask if he could warn the OP but alas he was called inside by some of his mates and so now the OP is late for work :(

Lol post of the day

Hahaha, that is classic. I now don't know whether I feel sorry for the OP or relief that he didn't get to meet the lovely lady.

Well a plug-in alarm clock can reset itself too or a power outage could reset it and then no alarm.

I think these days moble phone alarms are just as reliable as alarm clocks and useful for other reason as well. I use mine every day and have had no troubles.

Mid 90's Sony Dream Machine I got for Christmas while I was still in high school one year. Plugs, in and is so simple in it's circuitry I honestly don't know how it can crash. Plus it also has a 9v back up battery that I replace annually. Never let me down in the 15 or so years I've had it......

Except that year I didn't set my clock back with DST, and rocked up to work to find I was an hour early. Oh, and the *******s on the 10pm - 6am shift didn't say anything until I'd made us all a brew, sat down at my desk and logged on.
