Old Main HDD

Im setting up a raid0 and want to use my old main hdd as a back up unit.
I have tons of data on it and don't want to have 4 or 5 dvds of that info. Is there any way to un install windows and leave all the other data on it?
This hdd has only got the windows partion you setup on installation

The simple way will be to setup the RAID0 array and the single HDD, copy what you want to keep from the old HDD onto the array, format the old HDD and then move the stuff back to the old disk

Ok thanks for reply. the old hdd on slave will not try to boot the windows on it?

Not if the BIOS boot piority is set correctly to boot the RAID array first.
